maybe to be confident a bit of arrogance is needed because in order to speak in front of people YOU need to believe that what your saying is correct..............try practicing in front of a mirror or something...............maybe she is staring at you cos she likes you or admires you or maybe you could bloody ask her lol................

have you got low self esteem..........if you have STOP caring what other people think of you and have a better self image of yourself........takes time ................but when you get there you'll happy..................figure out in what situation you feel shy and try to figure out i.e. write down on paper on how to overcome that situation.....hope this helps mate :TH:

I used to thing that guys with turbans feel self conscious BUT now looking at this i think its guys that cut their hair feel like they dont belong because they KNOW your supposed to keep your hair but act like this maybe to feel like they belong....................either that or guys cut their hair know its wrong but still act like w@nkers and disprespect something they didnt understand in the first place.

yeah its sad things like this do happen................do things like this happen to men i.e. they cut their hair for women...........nevermind anyway...............this story is a bit old and has been circulating for a while BUT i dont really know if its all true or parts of it are or is it made up to make sikhs angry...............the problems like this is they are never verified so the story has no 'human face' to it if you know what I mean........................the problem is stories like this are covered up by the parents and they dont support their daughters when they want to come back you know..............i read a story like this that happened to a white girl and when she came back to her family her family cried and welcomed her back with open arms and they said it was like the story of the prodigal son returning they were happy to see their daughter the thing is this white girls parents didnt care what others thought of her because their daughter was BACK.................sikh/punjabi parents need to STOP blaming the girls and support them and go to the police.

I read this on another forum and thought wow, what do you guys think: translated by Bhai Baljit Singh ji Akali Kaur Singh Jee (a very close friend of Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh Jee) whenever they visited Kashmir, they used to stay at the residence of BIBI BAGH KAUR JEE. Bibi Bhag Kaur Jee was a GURSIKH, that is why Akali Kaur Singh used to eat Parshada made by her hands. Bibi Bhag Kaur left a note (Vasayeet - Last wish) to her husband before her death and Gursikhi jeevan reflects from this Vasayeet and is very inspiring. I will try my best to translate it. ---------------------------------- MY VASAYEET ----------------------------- I request my relatives that after my death please follow GURUMAT VASAYEET as written below and if someone does not follow it, he/she will bring pain to my ATTAMA (Soul). 1. When i die, everyone should keep doing SIMRAN, PATH and KEERTAN. No one should CRY. 2. No food or tea should come from other homes; every thing should be prepared at home. 3. After giving bath to my body, please put on it the same clothes which i used to wear when i was alive. No new clothes should be brought in. 4. Put BLUE or KESRI KHADAR (non-expensive) sheet on my ARTHYEE (body). No expensive SHAWLS should be put on my body. 5. Don't decorate my ARTHYEE (CORPSE). No perfumes should be put. No flowers or Garlands should be put. 6. After SANSKAR (funeral is done), Ardas should be done in Gurughar and same day, home should be cleaned and SEHAJ Path should be conducted. PATH should be clearly done in high PITCH (volume). Whoever comes home should sit in GURU SAHIB jee room and listen to PATH and should also recite PATH. No one should sit in a separate place and talk about anything. 7. Guru Sahib jee daa Parkash should be done early in the morning, followed by NITNAME and in the evening SODAR-NITNAME should also be done. Kirtan should also be conducted in the evening followed by Kirtan Sohala path and SUKH-ASSAN of GURU Sahib. 8. After 10 days when Sehaj Path is completed an AKHAND Path should be done at Gurudwara sahib. After Akand Path Bogh, no lectures should happen under my name. My name should only be taken during Aradas and my picture should not be displayed at all, at any place. 9. After 10 days when Sehaj Path is completed, nothing (bedding, clothes, pots or money) should be donated, because the donation is only fruitful, when you have given it yourself, when you were alive. Donating under your name when you are dead serves no purpose. 10. After Akhand Path, there is nothing else to be done. There should be no celebration of 6 months or year death anniversary. This is all FICTICIOUS (ADAMBAR) and should not be done at all. I am fully confident that my family will fully help in following these rules and help my soul. Item#3: My body should have 5 Kakars.

well i dont think you should ask the money back from your dad after all he is your dad who has raised you.........i dont know if your married or not or have you got kids............try to maintain a good relationship with BOTH of your parents you will be better off in the long run :TH:

Thats a different story paji. The difference is that these muslims boys are paid to do this convertion, were sikh boys do it as revege. im sure they get paid loadss to convert a sikh girl. so what we need to do now is stroll down to Barclays take out massive loans and start paying the sikh guys

Thats the solution sikh women need to run gurdwaras now so that young sikh girls can go to them for advise etc...................sikh guys can handle themselves...well i can lol.
