  1. Don't conclude on the basis of one article brother... there are more Shaheeds from the times of Guru Nanak Sahib. We have to research history to be more sure. Bhai Gurdas Dian Varan mention atleast name of one other GurSikh of Guru Nanak who became Shaheed.
  2. Syed Prithipal Singh was a Muslim Kashmiri who went on Islamical studies & Hajj tour to the Arabian peninsula. During his studies in Medina he came across a contemponary account of Guru Nanak Sahibs Arab visit and greatness. Therafter Mushtaq Ahmed became Prithipal Singh. This news has been online since more than a year but no scholar has published these books which are very essential for Sikh Parchaar and (Dawah) countering. There are also manuscripts (contemponaries of Guru Nanak Sahib) perishing due to neglect and lack of scholarly interest in these. Many of these manuscripts by non Sikh people of that time in different languages talk of miracles. One such manuscript comes to mind about Guru Nanak Sahibs visit to Orissa. There are texts about visits to Tibet aswel who are guarded by monks along with statues of Guru Nanak Sahib.
  3. SGPC failed us. We failed Guru Nanak Sahibs mission 'aap japeh avreh naam japaveh'. Indian Express - 31 October 2000 SGPC let me down, says Tamil Sikh DHARMENDRA RATAUL AMRITSAR, OCT 30: Kandasamy Singh, a Tamil who adopted the Sikh faith is running from pillar to post to collect his dues standing against Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). He was appointed a parcharak (religious preacher) by the former president of the SGPC, Gurcharan Singh Tohra. He said that when he went to the SGPC office today, the officials refused to talk to him saying the president who appointed him had been changed and his name had been deleted from the list. Kandasamy who lodged a written complaint with the SGPC president and sent a copy to the secretary, said that he was astonished to see the behaviour of the SGPC officials.``I was appointed parcharak by Tohra who asked me to propagate the tenets of Sikhism in the distant land of Tamils. I organised various Guru Ka Langars in the rural areas and also operated a mobile library in Marai Malai Nagar in Tamil Nadu but I was told today that my name had been deleted because the president had been changed,'' he said. He further disclosed that he was influenced by Sikhism and adopted the religion in 1996 when he came to see his brother in Delhi who was a tailor in Karol Bagh.``I was eager to visit the Golden Temple and came here in 1998. I met Tohra who was so impressed with my conviction that he asked me if I could take up the task of teaching Sikhism in my native state. I accepted his offer and even underwent training in the Gurudwara here and at Chandigarh,'' he said. He further said that Tohra promised to give him Rs 4000 per month for the expenditure on various promotional activities. ``But I was so engrossed with the propagation work that I never demanded any money and today when I approached the secretary of SGPC, Gurbachan Singh Bachan, he refused to talk to me. When I approached the officials of Dharam Parchar Committee (DPC) they embarrassed me by saying they do not know English and I should talk to them in Punjabi instead,'' he said. He said that he was going to meet Simranjeet Singh Mann at his village tomorrow and would also lodge a complaint with the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. ``I am an advocate by profession and was delighted to adopt the Sikh way of life but the attitude of the SGPC and of the DPC was astonishing. Instead of rewarding me for my translation of Sikh history into Tamil I was meted out humiliating treatment in the committee office,'' he said. When Contacted Gurbachan Singh Bachan, Secretary, SGPC, said that he did not remember meeting Kandasamy Singh but he would definitely go through the complaint letter written to the president.``It is wrong to say that he was meted out such treatment because he was appointed by a former president. There is more than 90 per cent of the preachers appointed by Tohra and it did not mean that we would treat them discriminately. I would personally look into the matter and his grievances would be redressed,'' said Bachan.
  4. Didn't Sikh soldiers remove their turbans to cover clotheless ladies who were being abused by the Pak army in Bangladesh during the 1971 war? Not justifying Bollywood.
  5. When a Turkish man attempted to assassinate Pope John Paul II, the pope went to jail to meet him personally, forgave him and got him pardoned by the Italian president. Thats forgiveness Khima.
  6. Its maybe also the Sikhs who were born post 1984 waking up, the ones who were 'javaan' in 1995-2005 period had seen the 'dark decades' and were too afraid to speak up (the ones who did became Shaheed or went abroad). The ones that are 20-30 now were born around 1985-1995.
  7. Anno 2003 - Hawayein got banned. Anno 2013 - They tried to ban Sadda Haq but failed, soon movies like 1984 Punjab and Kaum de Heere (about Shaheed Beant and Satwant Singh) are also releasing. Inderjit Nikku - he was a mona but he grew back his kesh after reading more into Sikhi. He still trims his beard but Waheguru willing he will grow even closer to the Guru. KS Makhan - became amritdhari. Jassi Jasraj - campaigned against vulgarity and started wearing dastaar, singing about Panthic matters. Raj Kakra - sung many Panthic songs and started wearing a dastaar. AS Kang - became kesdhari. Your thoughts?
  8. There is a difference between using a family name and discrimination based upon caste. Using Got is not anti-Sikhi, discriminating based on caste/class is. Gurbani uses words such as Chamar, Bhalla frequently. We could use Gots like the western people do, simply for heritage/identification purposes. Didn't Bhai Gurdas refer to Guru Ji as 'Sodhi Patshah'?
  9. The massive support for Khalsa Raj is back in Punjab since some years, that video MADE my day! We just need able leaders, the youth is passionate enough, but due to corrupt and un-proactive leaders we have lost several diamonds in the past few years.
  10. Women like confident men. Having a fit body, good hygiene and dressing sense helps a lot too. Walk with Anakh. You see 'ugly' men with 'beautiful' women all the time because (most) women look more for the inner so confidence and humor should do it for you. Seeing the amount of times Singhs complain of not finding a gf or wife because of their beard is disheartening. And yes, show Sulliah the Path
  11. Never ever think of merging West Punjab into East Punjab. Punjabi Taliban is very active in West Punjab. A Lahore Chowk couldn't be named after Bhagat Singh (who was secular) because Islamists opposed it, few people that protested against this were attacked. I wouldn't want our East Punjab clubbed with these people. Lets even say that West Punjab does go fully secular, liberal Muslim type, I still wouldn't go with them because you never know when Islamism hits their minds again and turns them into monsters kidnapping our women and waging Jihad (ala secular Iran/Afghanistan before 1979). If West Punjabis ask for freedom like Sindhis and Balochis, I will support them though.
  12. Its better to have East Punjab and West Punjab as seperate nations, somewhat like North and South Korea, minus the enmity.
  13. What food is forbidden in Bani? O Baba, the pleasures of other foods are false. Eating them, the body is ruined, and wickedness and corruption enter into the mind. The fools argue about flesh and meat, but they know nothing about meditation and spiritual wisdom. What is called meat, and what is called green vegetables? What leads to sin? Kabeer, they oppress living beings and kill them, and call it Halal (justified for Allah). When the Lord calls for their account, what will their condition be?
  14. Why only 'gulf countries'? Majority of the meat we get in European cities (and UK) is Halal aswell.
  15. Lets put it like that; their missing private part :lol2:
  16. They properly targetted non-Muslims. Muslims were let off, they are said to have placards in Arabic and the ones who could read it were let off. The correspondent in Nairobi for the Economist, Daniel Howden told the BBC he spoke to one man with a Christian first name but a Muslim-sounding surname who managed to escape the attackers by putting his thumb over his first name on his ID. However, the man told Mr Howden that an Indian man standing next to him who was asked for the name of the Prophet Muhammad's mother was shot dead when he was unable to answer. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-24191606
  17. Can anyone explain why British Sikhs lag far behind when it comes to participating in politics compared to Canadian Sikhs? The recent Halal outlet debate near the Gurdwara which was approved by (mostly) Muslim councillors shows how important it is for Sikhs to be active in politics of their respective nations. One of Guru Gobind Singh's Hukams was to get knowledge of politics and being a part of it.
  18. According to 2001 census, Muslims form 38% of Muzaffarnagars population but committed 100% of the sexual offenses. The pattern of Muslim immigration and subversion of the local populace is inspired by Muhammad running to Medina for protection but cleverly conquering it. The sexual abuse is also part of his life and followed by Muslims as a part of Sunnah. Muhammad used clever ploys to fool people, uttering the Satanic verses when with the pagans, then saying it was the satan. Whenever he wanted to save his backside he had some 'miraculous revelation' relevant for that time. He did not wait 3 months before copulating with the Jewish widow whose father and husband he killed (earlier that day). He had sexual contacts with Aisha during her menses (forbidden in Quran).
  19. Muslims are insecure because they see that their men wear the Sikh womenfolks dress (salwar). We all know Sikh women alone are capable of making Muslim armies run away like cowards, i.e. Mata Bhaag Kaur, Bibi Daler Kaur.
  20. Some ghetto Muslim? Comeon you are ignoring the problem, Muslims do it everywhere to other communities once they form a certain percentage. 3000 Christian girls is not 'one ghetto Muslim' doing it, GPS. Thousands of Sikhs girls in UK, 30 cases being reviewed by Bhai Mohan Singh just this month is no coincidence. I couldn't care less for Hindus, just saying they suffering from the suleh too (as are all minorities, even Buddhists in Ladakh who form 50-50 complained of this). Sikh kids in Pakistan get converted (you won't find it in google, I could give you Paki Sikh sources for that) & Sikhs are paying Jizya tax in FATA area. Stop loving and defending these people. People here prefer to argue with fellow Sikhs rather than blame Suleh (that too for crimes they do, for which enough evidence exists).
  21. Google it. You love defending Muslims while they do it everywhere, believe me. Even in our Punjab they have started it. You sound like those who disbelieved Sikhs accusing Sullay of grooming for decades because 'only Sikhs' were saying it. Recently its all been exposed. Here Hindu and Christian organisations are both claiming it. http://hinduvidhidnya.blogspot.be/2012/09/kerala-high-court-order-on-love-jihad.html http://www.ummid.com/news/December/10.12.2009/love_jihad_exists_says_kerala_hc.htm Kochi: The flip-flop on inter-caste marriages in Kerala that a section in the media terms as 'Love Jihad' or 'Forceful Conversion' took a new turn when Kerala High Court said it found traces of such acts. Observing that there are indications of "forceful" religious conversions under the guise of "love" in Kerala, the state high court today suggested the government to consider enacting a law to prohibit such "deceptive" acts. http://www.rediff.com/news/report/beware-of-love-jihad-keralas-christian-council-warns-its-flock/20120720.htm The Christian community in Kerala has expressed its concern about 'love jihad' which, according to the Global Council of Indian Christians, has 'victimised' 2,868 women so far. http://in.christiantoday.com/articles/church-warns-of-love-jihad-in-kerala/4623.htm After evidences that an Islamic religious conversion racket termed ‘Love Jihad’ lured innocent girls in Kerala, the Church has issued warnings urging parents and students to be cautious as well as conscientious on such campaigns. The campaign allegedly carried out by Islamic radical outfits in campuses in the southern state, vies to entrap naive girls by luring them into marriage and later converting them to Islam in the pretext of love. What now GPS?
  22. South India is getting heavily Islamised. Especially Kerala has become a battle front with it being even a big India ISI base. The police and Sarkar do nothing as Congress and Communists are Islamic backside lickers. They currently form 30% of the population in Kerala and are trying hard to become the majority community (like in every other country or state, including our Punjab which will see the results of immigration friendly policy within 20 years). Just google Love Jihad Kerala and you will see alot of results. http://www.hindujagruti.org/news/6389.html
  23. Lets not get off topic, I was refuting the article used by one brother here to debunk the Love Jihad just by showing that Hindu men married Muslim women too, using Bollywood celebrities as examples. If one or two are not Sikh it does not refute the main concern that celebrities do not represent real life. Main concern was the Love Jihad angle which one Singh tried to refute saying equal number of Muslim women married Hindus. Raj Babbar belongs to a Sikh family who migrated to UP after partition. His nanke are in Amritsar. Arjun Rampals was born in MP but not a native of there, his father was a Sikh and mother Dutch. Ajay Devgan might be from a Hindu family but he did get married in a Gurdwara, so did Karishma Kapoor (in Guru Maharajs hajuri). The main point here is that 99% of Sikh celebrities married non Sikhs, does that mean something? No, same way stop using the other article saying Muslim women marrying Hindu men has the same rate as vice versa. Mehtab, just like Dhillon or Gill is not exclusively a Sikh Punjabi surname (as much Muslims if not more have it too), same way full Sikhs (not the sehajdharis) exist too amongst the Kapoors, Malhotras etc.
  24. Kabir Bedis father was a Sehajdhari Sikh author, Pyarelal Bedi. As far as I know Raj Babbar is a Sikh. But my point being that you can't look at celebrities and talk about a particular community. Amrita Singh, Kiron Kher and so many others married non Sikhs. Don't know if Ajay Devgan is Sikh but he married in a Gurdwara. Arjun Rampal is also said to be of a Ramgarhia Sikh family from Majha (with a Dutch mother).
