    We can wait till the Scientists can find evidence to support this view. If our modern civilisation was to stop all of a sudden, the majority of the buildings and things that we built would disintegrate and not even exist in a few thousands of years. Then if another civilisation pops up 10,000 years later and there were myths of giant flying metal birds that carried people from one part of the world to another or magic devices where people used to communicate with each other, a lot of scientists thousands of years from now would say where is the evidence to support that.

    Human Civilisation is older than 12000 years old. Every ancient civilisation talks of an earlier civilisation before the ice age. There was a flood that took place when the ice melted.

    If you have ever been to Gurgaon, it is actually South of Delhi, it is still Haryana but it is right on the borders of Madya Pradesh. That is far down Haryana goes.

    If you take a train from Punjab to Delhi, Haryana is virtually indistinguishable from Punjab. I have relatives near Delhi and one of their friends is Haryanvi. That is the only Haryanvi I've ever met. Seemed like a nice chap. But I know people in Delhi and Gurgaon are scares of them.

    She's saying it's OK for a woman to cheat on her husband if her needs are not being met. But if it is the other way around then it is not OK.

    Just read a little background, there are 12 no moons in the year in the lunar cycle. Diwali falls on the darkest night out of the 12 no moon nights. Hence the festival of lights, dark against light. I don't think there is a single festival that isn't related to some astronomical/season occurance. The events like the Ramayana are likely to be based on some historical event, but have been embellished and then associated with athis particular pagan festival to give it some significance and meaning. The ancient civilisations were master mathematicians and astronomers in order to calculate these kind of things.

    The original celebration of Diwali is probably related to some seasonal thing. In india it must be the darkest day in the year the same way there is a winter solstice in the west. It is also related to the lunar cycle/calendar which is why it shifts between October and November. There must something very primal that people will intuitively gather and celebrate it.

    If I recall, one of the sisters was re-incarnated as the Kauravas uncle. When he was about to meet his ending, I remember Krishna told the Pandava's to get advice to running a kingdom from Bhishma rather than himself. It was his flaws as an imperfect person that gave certain insights that an avatar (who never make mistakes) cannot give.

    Don't do the spyware. All this means is that you don't trust your wife. Marriage needs trust. If there is no trust, what do you have left in your relationship? Women talk with their pekheh when it comes to the foibles of their in-laws. This is their nature. If you had a sister and she was married, she would do exactly the same with your mum. Also your sister and mum would talk about the faults of your wife. That is the nature of women.
