  1. It is hard to ascertain what the Sangat wants and needs. The quam needs to find some points to agree on, some common ground: Here are some points we probably agree on We are a separate nation. We are unique people on the subcontinent, we look different, we act different, we have different temperament. We don't have much in common with the rest of the Union. Our needs are not met by this union. Our rights are not met by this union. We are seen and treated differently by this Union except when it is comes to defending the Union. The Union uses us. They exploit us. We are a fiercely independent people. We do things our own way, We think we do things better if we get out of this union. Are there any benefits to stay in this Union. These are some things I can think of, needs more embellishing.
  2. If $$$ power and Brahmin power was all that was needed then India would not have been conquered again and again for 2000 years. India was 1st or 2nd economic superpower and they were still conquered. It is not just about $$$, it is how it is used. And there are other levers of power as well. India at the moment is code coolie capital of the world. They are not even that good compared to some other countries. That is not economic superpower status. It is just a cheap country.
  3. We know they have been after our people since the 1980's. It is just they have become more sophisticated in their methods. Stands to reason that third party companies are used to keep and manage data for western clients that they won't do the same for other types of data. It is quite solipsistic to think that we are that special to the Indian Govt. Though they do see us a threat. We are not the only threat. They have bigger threats (like China) You got to be less emotional and more rational, it will help to make you think more clearly. There are games within games within games being played. If you cannot understand the game, you can't win.
  4. The Indian Govt knows there have a lot of opposition from the Sikh Diaspora, it seems obvious they would collect data so they would identify threats and monitor and track. They probably are not only not focusing on our diaspora, they are probably doing the same with other communities. I am sure the Pakistani diaspora is being monitored and tracked. They are probably doing the same with Indian Christian missionaries as well.
  5. He is expressing a view of what the majority of people in the UK think in general.
  6. If you expose a state for it's handling of things like humans right abuses, don't expect them to play fair. Such is the state of politics. They come for you and they come for your family. Know your enemy and what they are capable of. Never go in blind. Understand how they work and operate and be willing to understand the sacrifices you may have to make. This is warfare. The nature of war does not always involve swords and blood figuratively. Shasters come in different forms.
  7. I think people fail to realise (going to use some modern terminology )that Sikhi provides the toolset to bring out the best in yourself. Simran and nitnem gives structure, discipline and settles the mind and provides clarity.
  8. That is because with Islam, the power and politics came first, the religion came afterwards. There were generals like Hari Singh Nalwa that understood the empire had to be consolidated and Sikhi had to be on the forefront. My understanding of some of the European Generals that came into the Khalsa Empire helped to organise some of the forces with more drilling and formations like they had with some of the European armies had at the time. Ranjit Singh even though an illerate man was very good at recognising new techniques and methods to absorb into his army. He was very pragmatic in many regards but he has shown some of the perils of being too pragmatic at the expense of other factors in his empire
  9. You have done a lot of wrong things but you have redeemed yourself by doing the right things. You are in a better place because of Sikhi. Look how far you have come because of Sikhi. If you do not want to take Amrit then at least keep your kes and dastaar and keep doing the nitnem. Keep it simple. Your daily paath has a had a lot of benefits that you do not realise. You will realise what you are missing when you stop doing it.
  10. The father is not happy with this, he is having to go along with this. He looks like a broken man.
  11. I wonder who the anti-Sikh is who keeps downvoting. Such petulance
  12. There are certain pictures on there that are not suitable on this forum. Like the lap sitting. All it adds to becoming is sensationalism.
  13. Can I make a request. Can you refrain from some of these kind of screen shots . Thanks.
  14. It's happening in varying degrees. Women are not attracted to about 80 percent of males. You will find more women with exes than men, that is why you get 'incels'. When women complain about men cheating, it is really the apex of males that are able to cheat and go with multiple women. If you want to see the data, all these on-line dating websites will provide this and you will see the behaviour.
  15. The casual relationship is an attempt to destroy our society. Our society is built on family and that is created on the back of institution of marriage. Monogamy was not the way in the hunter gatherer life. There is a reason you have more female ancestors than male ancestors. The way things are going, we are going to be back in a situation where a small number of men are going to have harems of women. The junglee female has no qualms about sharing a man with other females if that man is high status enough. This is how it is like in the animal kingdom.
  16. The OP is painting a picture and wants advice. @MisterrSingh is reading between the lines on what is actually going on. He's making an assessment of what is said and what it actually means.
  17. If these types want to get names from bani, there are more suitable names to suit their character and personalities : -Paap Singh -Krodh Singh -Ahankaar Kaur "Moh"inder Kaur
  18. This is because humans for most of the course of history have lived junglee. (Hunter gatherer) It's only relatively recently we have become "civilised ". Our bodies and brains have adapted and evolved to survive like a junglee. That is hardwired.
  19. Black History month in the UK stems from a lack of identity and insecurity from certain elements of the Afro-Caribbean community. The majority of the black community in the UK is now directly from Africa. The Africans know where they are from, what tribe they are from, what village they are from and all their traditions and heritage that goes back thousands of years. They don't need any validation. The afro-Caribbean community (certain segments ) don't know where they originally come from and through Black History Month are looking for validation from the whites. The focus is too much on celibrities and sports people. Their role models should come from every day walks of life, like doctors, lawyers, engineers, business owners, architects etc. If they focuses on that, then they would be a far stronger and more self-confident community.
  20. We are not high enough on the 'oppressed' scale like other groups.
  21. There is showing something which is an unflattering side of female nature. In evolutionary psychology, there is a theory that women can find arousing when two men fight over her. There is a behaviour that some women show where she may instigate something to see how dominant her partner is. The fact he was knocked out in her eyes shows to her that he is a weak man that shows no dominance. It does not matter to her that he was in a coma and that she was mocking him for going down like Deontay Wilder. For all we know, this guy could have been good to her but she would see him as weak and pathetic. In junglee female terms, the more stronger dominant guy is favourable than a guy who treats her well.
  22. A lot of parents will pick up a name because it sounds good or because it's popular and not even know what the name means.
  23. No. The Chavvy types have appropriated our Guru's name and have sullied it. Think better. Even the name Simran has certain connotations. People should not choose names for their kids that cannot be lived up to.
