yeah candals are more of tradition, becuase the whole concept of Bhani Chor is the release of Dhan sri Guru Hargobind Sahib ji Maharaj, from jail, and i think the term bhandi chor has beeen taken over by diwali, which is known to be celebrated by hindu's, but its just a coincedence that both events occur on the same day, but a singh once told me to respect diwali butt no follow it. and the true term should be bhandi chor which know seems so true
