  1. As for the topic, there should indeed be some sort of state supported punishments for those who physically harm GGSJ, gutkay, and what not. But, to even go as far as trying to banning speech that is anti-Sikh seems to be going a bit too far, should leave that for any Singh to hand out some classic justice :cool2:
  2. Where have I shown anger? You seem to be telling me not to question anything and just follow. Do you not see a problem in that? In no way am I comparing myself or this situation to that of Guru Nanaks, but had he not started question and just followed, would we really be having this discussion today? And as for why, usually if people claims that are quite extrordinary, people want to see it and have it proven, to say "I cant do it but I wont show you!" is childish in my opinion. Back up your claims. You say the Guru never used Amrit as a magic potion, so do you believe it doesn't have the ability to revive the dead? FYI, I do not believe science knows it all or can explain it all. Also, you say Kala Afghana supporters want a Gurmukh to show a higher ability, but they will do no such thing. Yet, I often stubmle upon stories of "Mahapurkhs" performing practically miracles and leaving their followers in awe. So this leaves me a bit confused.
  3. Great to see you all bashing men who actually care about the Panth. Too busy bickering and fighting amongst yourselves while the Hindus help destroy Sikhi day by day.
  4. Why don't you kill a rat then and try reviving it with amrit? Or get some mahapursh you follow to do it.
  5. Surrender? To who and why? Surrender to the Nihangs? Sikhi is dying day by day, and here you all sit fantasizing about Khalsa Raj, we can't even obtain Khalsa Raj in Punjab. I think we need to think a lot more short term, otherwise there will not even be a "long term."
  6. This video is probably sometime during the 4th or 5th, as there was not too much intense fighting on the 4th, which would explain lack or gunfire. The man become shaheed during Blue Star, I cant imagine him hiding all this time. Even if he was hidin in a pind, someone would have gave him up. If in Pakistan, RAW would have found out by now.
  7. Lol may find yourself in trouble for saying "dasam granth thumpers" I think most on here fall under that category.
  8. I agree, way too sensationalized, people save lives everyday. And I didnt look at the picture, but IF it is merely being used as a cushion, he could have indeed used his jacket.Sikhs jump on any little bandwagon yelling and screaming "Look at us! We're so kind/brave etcetra"
  9. Yeah, no such thing as Islamic radicalism, that even us Sikhs haven't faced first hand. It was all a false flag that some guys on youtube figured out and posted videos about. What most conspiracy theorists have is a research bias where they only seek out info that fits their agenda. Most of these 9/11 theories have been debunked over and over. Islamic terrorism exists.
  10. Perhaps focus on actual spirituality instead of focusing on this meaningless OCD like behavior? What if the farmer who planted the wheat your roti is made of was drunk when he planted the seeds? Better make sure you only use an amritdhari singhs wheat! First the apple cidar vinegar thread, now this lol.
  11. Well unfortunantly for you pal, there isn't any place on this globe that has Sikh Sovereignty, and I doubt there will be. Need to wake up and make the best of whatever is possible.
  12. Pig afterlife for helping drug addicts? Have we time travelled back too the 15th century? Who still believes such superstitions.
  13. No one is asking for a thank you, but how about not being back stabbed? Should have sent the Kashmiri pandits packing in my opinion.
  14. It was brutal, Sikhs were on a mission to clear land for fellow Sikhs moving East.
  15. Got it mixed up, the poster above thought I was a devout Sikh, I openly say I am not. But beimg raised in a Sikh house, I classify as a Sikh, hence why I am on this board. Not because I am a devout Sikh. As for why I dont oppose that lifestyle? It would he hypocritial of me to do so.
  16. I wouldnt be considered a "good" Sikh by most here. Raised in a Sikh household though, so my loyalties are with Sikhs, and I'm invested in Sikh politics. It would he hypocritical of me to oppose them, simple as that.
  17. My friend the papers and documentaries know very little, they never talk to whos involved, instead theyll find some sociologist or psychologist etcetra. We're all middle class here, asians and whites, but some guys just fall into that path for many different reasons. And we have tons of businesses here, and are very well represented in all spheres of public life, more so than Alberta and Ontario. BC Sikhs are much more complicated than rest of Canada.
  18. What makes you think its an act? Theyre not trying to do the community any favours, or care. All im saying is stop making up stuff, you don't know whos spoiled or whos not, or why theyre doing what they are, or whos the victims. Take a look at 2009 gang war for one example. And Im born and raised here, I grew up with these guys. I have no objections to such a lifestyle or crime. Nor do I see why these guys have to be our community representatives, plenty of good people can be the face of our community.
  19. I have been to calgary many many times, been throughout the city, sure some areas were a bit poorer than others, but still Calgary isnt considered ghetto by any means. Nor is it a very dangerous city, in fact in the past couple years Surreys homicide rate has been higher than Calgarys. And garbage means nothing, take care of your properties perhaps? Also the horrible weather in Calgary adds wear and tear to the houses, giving them a "crappy" look. Regardless, got a good laugh, I was hoping you'd say an american ghetto citt, but Calgary? In the end, you simply don't know why this war is happening, and youre spreading false info. And, I hear plenty from my family of brown kids in toronto and alberta being trouble makers, they just dont have any guts to jump from bats to guns.
  20. The Sikh community in BC has been middle class for decades now, almost always was. We didn't get into the drugs to escape poverty here. Still wondering what ghetto you are from by the way.
  21. You're pretty much spot on brother, the only blacks we have here are the somalians, I would assume they're similar to Southall Somalians? Regardless, we have a completely different culture in Vancouver, at the most these kids listen to rap.
  22. You've been there, I'm from here. Not once did anyone claim we're living on $20,000 a year. All of the Lower Mainland is well off, the asians and whites included. And if you're using some documentaries as your backup, you're in no position to speak.Sorry but you literally don't know much all. Maybe no one doesn't talk about BC gangs, but I've never heard anyone in BC talk about gangs from other provinces either. And LOL what issues could possibly force you to push drugs?
  23. This entire "hurting religious sentiment" stuff sounds like cry baby stuff to me. Big whoop if someone makes fun of your prophet guru and what not, you can't force someone to respect your religon. You certainly arent earning any respect by whinging and having laws made. Where do we draw the line anyway? Tomorrow a million followers of a sports team will say it hurts their sentiments when people insult their sports team that they're die hard fans of, make laws to protect their feelings too? And inciting terrorism is a crime for good reason, hurting someones feelings doesn't really compare to radicalising someone and encouraging them to kill innocents. We all knows it happened as well, many times.
  24. The movie seems ridiculous. Bling, are you kidding me?
