  2. Salvation What is such a feeling? I'm floating, wandering amongst the clouds... No, love. Is it? It's blinding, this sense of security. Falling into the continuous void. The hollow throbbing that hung within me, Slowly consuming. Why did it suddenly stop? I hadn't expected it this soon: I didn't know you would come to me. A hand, Reaching through the lucid gray screen, You stretch towards me, with love.. It's then when I see: Your eyes, your eyes!, I can finally see them. They glow, oh, how they glow! So Beautiful, Lone fireflies, dancing in the late summer breeze. You close your eye so sweetly, And yet they still glow and shine.. That tenderness surrounds me now, A vibrating hum, Rhythmic, silent comfort. The clouds disperse like cold vapor; I listen to the grass whisper, Held in your luminous gaze. Light, it liberates me. Light... Your glowing eyes, they are my liberation. gur prswdI ijin buiJAw iqin pwieAw moK duAwru ] gur purusaadhee jin bujhiaa thin paaeiaa mokh dhuaar By Guru's Grace, they understand Him, and they find the gate of salvation.
  3. My Ocean Am I alone in this? Never a night is there where I can sleep We must try to understand this Figure it out It will not be that easy We lost it somehow You come over unexpected The Silence broken by Your voice in the dim light I need you here tonight Just like the ocean needs the waves Oh, the night becomes tranquil That's somewhere in between What I feel and what I'm taught Sitting on the shore Trying to understand it all Figure it out To uncover out the meaning And attain it somehow You come over unexpected The Silence broken by Your voice in the dim light I need you here tonight Just like the ocean needs the waves Dance around me now, Like the stars that shine And brighten thy way I need you here tonight Just like this night It needs the ocean, the rain. The season of my mind has changed, The heart it feels colder now, colder now The souls are raised, The rain, my pain, it falls harder now, all around You come over unexpected The Silence broken by Your voice in the dim light I need you here tonight Just like the ocean needs the waves Fall around me now Like stars that shine And brigthen the way I need you here tonight Just like this night It needs the rain You come over unexpected The Silence broken by Your voice in the dim light I need you here tonight Just like the ocean needs the waves AwvY lhir smuMd swgr kI iKn mih iBMn iBMn Fih peIAw ]7] aavai lehar sumundh saagur kee khin mehi bhinn bhinn tehi peeaa When the waves of the ocean come in, they crumble and dissolve in an instant. ||7|| hir sru swgru hir hY Awpy iehu jgu hY sBu Kylu KyleIAw ] har sur saagur har hai aapae eihu jug hai subh khael khaeleeaa The Lord is the pool, and the Lord Himself is the ocean; this world is all a play which He has staged.
  4. My Friend He sits at the top of the maple tree, Catching the sunlight and darkness in his eyes, Immersed in the scent of the glorious sun. What is it that his eyes see, When he looks out into the amorphous depths of the heavens? I yearn to know, To ask him, "How is it that you see the world?" His face is incomprehensible, Yet serene, the gaze of a hawk, Yearning. I’ve always been yearning for something, I tell him -- Always. Yes, always. I let my words curl at the tip of my tongue, Windswept by the wintry weather breeze that blows by. I have been searching, I say. Searching for what I yearns for. I study his face, The way the space between his eyes crease with profound thought, The way his eyes shift into mine when he turns away from the heavens. He's always been looking into the sky, into the souls of all. But now he turns towards me, Looking into my averse gaze, contemplating. "I've been searching for you," The words surface from my mouth, Soft, wistful, reflective. "I've been searching for my friend. The one who will fly with me, Share my thoughts in the heavens." My words are caught in my throat, My hand balanced on the rough of the maple tree branch, As he quietly asks: "And?" I can see my face shining in his abundant eyes, My lips slowly curl into a smile, "And I've found you." myrI ieC punI jIau hm Gir swjnu AwieAw ] maeree eish punee jeeo hum ghar saajun aaeiaa My desire has been fulfilled - my Friend has come to my home. imil vru nwrI mMglu gwieAw ] mil vur naaree mungul gaaeiaa At the Union of husband and wife, the songs of rejoicing were sung.

  6. ਮਃ ੫ ॥mehlaa 5. Fifth Mehl: ਵਿਣੁ ਤੁਧੁ ਹੋਰੁ ਜਿ ਮੰਗਣਾ ਸਿਰਿ ਦੁਖਾ ਕੈ ਦੁਖ ॥ vin tuDh hor je mangnaa sir dukhaa kai dukh. To ask for any other than You, Lord, is the most miserable of miseries. You will read in many places, whether it be Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, or Books that we should do Ardaas to ask for the precious gift of Naam. The weakness of our minds tend to get the better of us in many situations. Its almost as saying we use Guru Sahib as a twenty-four hour Santa Clause who is waiting to hand out our gifts and desires whenever we want. Our mind can go from wanting to go on a vacation or hoping to sleep in. However, we all know that these material longings are all temporary, which will eventually lead to causing more pain and sorrow. Our mind is never at ease or satisfied. Upon loosing one thing, we yearn to desire another. Thus, our mind is always in distress and anxiety. However, asking for the Lord only results in utter content and happiness. Our mind will be at ease and we will be in celestial bliss. ਦੇਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੀਆ ਉਤਰੈ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਭੁਖ ॥ deh naam santokhee-aa utrai man kee bhukh. Please bless me with Your Name, and make me content; may the hunger of my mind be satisfied. Just like our stomach is continuously hungry for food and thirsty for water our mind is hungry for our desires. Guru Sahib is the only one that can control and satisfy the hunger of the mind which is always yearning for new things. However, when The Glance of Grace is cast upon us all of our desires have been attained and our mind can rest with satisfaction. ਗੁਰਿ ਵਣੁ ਤਿਣੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਕੀਤਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਿਆ ਮਨੁਖ ॥੨॥ gur van tin hari-aa keeti-aa naanak ki-aa manukh. ||2|| The Guru has made the woods and meadows green again. O Nanak, is it any wonder that He blesses human beings as well? ||2|| Our human mind is incapable of understanding the wonder that Guru Sahib can accomplish. He created us and so did he create the remembrance of his beautiful name. After so many wars and disputes, Guru Sahib cleans up our acts and as stated “has made the woods and meadows green again”. Guru Sahib is the creator of all creators. What would the creation be without the creator?
  7. Its funny because when you think about Guru Sahib really hard you tend to forget what your thinking about. Or at least i do. I think the key into remembering Guru Sahib when reading Bani is to do it with complete love. Say each line as if you are telling a secret to someone and its very important so your mind stresses on understanding what your saying. I also once heard that if you say each line of Bani as if you are saying to Guru Sahib, your mind becomes like a lotus flower floating on a pond of tranquil water. It becomes very soothing and we forget about the world around us. The point of reading bani is not to repeat it as a part, but to say it with complete devotional love and worship. I hope it all made sence, Forgive me for any mistakes Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh t(h)aakur jaa simaraa thoo(n) thaahee || O Lord Master, wherever I remember You, there I find You.

  16. Waheguru By not helping someone who is in severe trouble would be an insult to Guru Ji. What have our Guru's all taught us? To become the dust of EVERYONE'S feet. Including those who have not yet been able to call themselves Gurmukh. Despite everything, to call your self a Gurmukh you should be able to drop it all and help the Creation of Akaal Purakh. Our duties as Sikhs is to do as much Seva as we can. Saving a life is a great seva. Waheguru. Bull chaak maauf.

    Im Filthy

Waheguru Jeeo, everyone is saying that you should go outside and play sports and keep your mind busy but in the end there are going to be sometimes when you have to be on the computer and suddenly all your work is done and bam! Your back to where you started. Your job is not to run away from the problem but to control/fix the problem. Guru Ji says: gun gaavuth achuth abinaasee kaam krodh binusae mudh teethae Singing the Glorious Praises of the imperishable, indestructible Lord, sexual desire, anger and stubborn pride vanish. I know, for someone going through a hard time its easy for one person to tell another "Just go do Kirtan, you'll be fine". At first everything seems hard. I dont know if your 'addicted' to these websites persay but it seems that Kaam has taken affect. So the job of your mind and soul is to rid this effect and focus your mind on the greater task at hand. If you know how to play Vaja that would be a great help. Even without a vaja you can take an Amrit Kirtan and just recite Gurbani or Do some baani. It wont see to work at first and youll think its not working but inside the machines are running. Try and listen to kirtan while your on the computer because once you go on those sites and you realize you have kirtan going your going to feel ashamed so its best to have a reminder on. Everything is hard at first but slowely with fath and conviction does it become easier. =) Good luck Veer/Bhainjee. Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh
