I'm at a loss about this behaviour as well. I think it's just simply playing social politics(?), or that disease of wanting to please others over your own. That's really common. You can even see microcosms of it in families, where people will help outsiders but not their own blood. I think wanting to appear better than others is at the bottom of it maybe?

I think Sikhs have fought in enough european conflicts (without any benefit). In times like this we need to consolidate and strengthen ourselves whilst others destroy themselves. Screw all these nazi collaborator states.

Nah, I've seen this thing grow in my own time. None of my parents or grandparents generation were 'bhangra-muffins' like the modern Panjabi is. Okay, this thing may well have started in the west as an attempt to have our own culture in the face of virulent racism, but that blew up in our face in multiple ways i.e. opened us up to grooming, encouraged drinking culture amongst youth, bolstered a particular form of casteism. It's like a Frankenstein monster right now. And it was never part of 'Panjabi culture' like people have made it now.

Plus it does look like we've become dumbed down and unimaginative back home. They lack creativity and thinking outside of the box skills. Those attacks between communities are a socio-political norm. That's what you have to remember. I'm worried about our lot lazily putting all blame externally, and not facing up to their own shortcomings and how they contribute to the situation, in order to resolve this and come with robust, tactical plans to subvert those inimical to us.
