    it those Singhs wearing bana and maryada who formed dal khalsa and rid us of invasions of aghans and also the mughals. However there are those jathas who imitate bana of dal khalsa and think themselves superior due to their maryada and put themselves in ego, hunkaar. Even thought they don't belong to those jathas incorporated by Nawab Kapur Singh into dal khalsa, these jathas still think they can wear bana and spread their egos, some becoming so strict they will not even have langar with those outside their jathas. and even commuting beadbi at amrit sanchars due to special naam rituals!

    We need to ban McDonalds and KFC and whatever other brand that is serving halal Zabiha, or as Guru sahib calls it, Abakhiya ka kutha, from sikh areas in Punjab. Firstly Mcdonalds in India only serves Abakhiya ka kutha, any sikh who eats non-veg from their will be commiting kurehit. Mcdonalds needs to be banned from Heritage Street for Harmandir Sahib. It doesn't matter that this branch is veggie, the fact that this brand promotes kuttha and bujjar kurahit for sikhs in Punjab is enough of a reason to be banned. Need to put pressure on SGPC and Akal Takht to do this. Checkout Twitter earlier this year and last year and you will see there was a massive uproar against Mcdonalds, yet very few sikhs joined in, even though this is involving a bujjar kurahit!!!!! Please all sikhs BOYCOTT MCDONALDS INDIA, no excuses, not even if you are vegeterian!

    you should see the weaponry Singhs had during misl era. They would even take cannons and weapons from the invading Afghanis. Also take their horses. Being able to defend ourselves would also mean keeping defensive weapons as well. Probably Army Singhs during partition had good weaponry during the times.

    this 2020 lockdown stuff has delayed the uni sikh societies. However, the societies should be starting up again after September 2020. Why don't organisations like BOSS and Nishaan vet the people representing sikh socieites? Even employers these days will go through social media accounts checking prospective employees. Perhaps the same now needs to be done by some sikh organisations, otherwise this is going to continue to have really bad consequences for sikhs attending unis if the sikh societies are run by people such as these! I remember when sikh channel was new, and they put on a news presenter dressed showing off shoulder areas. There was a big scandal about that, and the channel seemed to have learnt a little bit about respect at that time lol! I just don't understand why this sikh girl decided to go on a sikh channel dressed that way?

    Even during Misl era, there were many punjabi muslims. With the right control I don't think the islamists would take over! Remember in 1947 we had well trained sikh soldiers to take care of such things!

    so was this before bollywood movies became sluttified? So it was taboo for hindus and muslims to act in movies back then, and now the hindus and muslims actresses in the bollywood movies are mostly dressed in slutty ways, especially for musical numbers. Just irony!

    oh yes, and also I remember there was unification of Jathas under Nawab Kapur Singh, unification in Dal Khalsa and then split under Budha Dal and Tarna Dal. Do we need another reunification, maybe absorb some of the colonial era jathas into the dals? If there was a sarbat Khalsa held by dal Khalsa to do this, if we are able to get the Budha Dal leader to be respected again like Nawab Kapur Singh, Jassa Singh Ahluwalia and Akali Phoola Singh, then these jathe could be absorbed into Dal Khalsa and keep the anti-dasam views and corrupted maryadas in-check. Anyone unwilling to join would be treated like maybe the Phulkian states, they were the ones who kept out of Dal Khalsa right? might have got the states wrong but I am sure there were some Singhs who didn't join Dal Khalsa during Misl era and Ranjit Singh kingdom era.

    In a modern day Singh Sabha movement, would the Dal Khalsa retake Akal Takht after being removed by the previous Singh Sabha which is now represented by SGPC? Would Dal Khalsa (budha dal tarna dal) be given more control like they had pre-colonial times? Would we reintroduce more Dasam Granth readings which were stopped by previous Singh Sabha?

    IF you would like to follow a discord related to a sikhi forum, I would recommend the sikhi reddit. They are very good at teaching and discussing sikhi, and I also recommend their discord.

    I definitely don't think Naam Dhrir was given by original panj pyaras and I don't think dal Khalsa practised this either. I actually just wanted to find out that jathas who practise Naam Dhrir, do they also practise this breathing thing? I don't agree with Naam Dhrir myself, I don't see it as a necessity for Sachkhand and actually see it as a beadbi to Amrit Sanchar!

    lol I don't think being vegetarian helped you in in controlling your vikaar or stopping you from being in a non-life non-grihast degrading temporary casual partnership with someone. There are plenty of jhatka practising or shikaar practising Nihang Singhs or other amrit dharis who will not allow their children to be in some disgusting-appalling temporary partnership like girlfriend-boyfriend. There are sikhs who drink who will also not allow their children to be in such partnerships! Has this ritual-vegeterianism given you any annakh or izzat like the sikhs I just described? The fact is you are trying to be religious and just do dating partnerships like other ritualistic people, after all you do follow ritual vegeterianism! You need to learn to be dharmik. Dharmik people do not enter boyfriend-girlfriend partnerships, or being concubines, or temporary marriages like muslims do.But religious people such as abrahamics (like Jews, christians, muslims) do not have many issues with temporary partners and concubines and keeping slave girls. Are you religious or do you want to become a dharmik sikh????? Do you want to stay stuck in ritualism and forget to use your brain, same kind of ritualism Guru Nanak taught against? Again you degrade yourself by saying you don't want to choose between boyfriend and family? HE IS NOT EVEN YOUR HUSBAND, NOT EVEN YOUR LIFE PARTNER!!! He is just a boyfriend, a casual/temporary partner. You allow yourself to be degraded to a girlfriend, YOU ARE NOT HIS LIFE PARTNER YET YOU ARE ALREADY TALKING ABOUT CHOOSING BETWEEN THIS POOR EXCUS FOR A PARTNER AND YOUR FAMILY? If you want to be taken seriously, at least become his life partner? Why are you being such an ABCD coconut, are you stupid? Where is your intelligence? You really need to look deep inside yourself. Do you understand the importance of grihast jeevan? lol and just a BF, not even a husband! I think she needs to think why she is in a casual partnership.     I don't think most amrit dhari families or even many respectful sikh families will not accept their children being part of boyfriend-girlfriend partnerships. If you are serious to become someone's partner, then the only acceptable way is become a life partner. This is the grihast jeevan that Guru Nanak taught and practised and promoted. It is so degrading to become a temporary partner like a girlfriend, you got any sharam and respect at all (to OP of course)?

    Why ignore me? Do my arguments hurt you? I am trying to learn the traditional instruments. However most gurdwaras in London only want to teach harmonium and play harmonium at their functions. Also many people online, some gurdwaras and london uni sikh societies want to promote these rockstar keertan performer smagams instead of Raag. IF you keep your raag vidiya hidden and want to do rock instead to please the desires and vikaars of manmukhs and court rockstar superstar fame, then that is being anti-raag! Raag keertan is still in the minority, teachers are in the minority. Most of the stuff promoted is what performers think is better because of ego and fame, instead of Raag. Many sikhs do not know about Raag or never got the chance to listen, because of these personalities. Naamdharis are doing a much better job than mainstream panth. Harmonium is being promoted everywhere instead of raag tanti saaj instruments! Look end of the day, they want us to subscribe, and I don't want to because they prefer to promote certain rockstar personalities instead of proper Raagis! Last time I went to a university keertan darbar in West London, and they were mostly promoting this style of keertan, and ignoring Raag, I did complain! I am willing to do something offline and online! I am not intimidated by any jathe or BOSS or any other organisations when it comes to preserving maryada, and I don't like how they confuse young students by not showing them how really keertan sounds like! On another note, this rockstar keertanis should try electric guitars, I would love to hear what this sounds like, might attract more sangat?! I think there was a keertani in Australia who use sounds like didgeridoo and other instruments in his keertan. Maybe a keertani can pick this up?

    What really makes me upset and angry is how most of us Singhs haven't been keeping proper rehit for a long time now, I would say alot of our Singhs stopped keeping shastar rehit during colonial times, and now it's mostly only Nihang Singhs and Takht such as Hajoor Sahib where Singhs keep the shastar and training rehit up. So it's also our fault as well for not learning to defend ourselves and getting easily killied during partition, Punjabi Suba lehar and 1984 - and also getting beaten up by police and mobs during current times. So why are Singhs not keeping rehit now? I see too many Singhs think that taking Pahul is just about doing paat and avoiding a few things - but forget that shastar rehit and training is MANDATORY for a Singh, no it's easier to just ignore Guru Sahib right and stay a manmukh, and many people will even call these manmatti people as gursikhs and gurkmukhs as well. So instead of thinking, put your focus into practising proper rehit, following rehitnamas, promoting rehit and even calling out Singhs who are purposefully ignoring rehit and promoting lazy rahit! Get Singhs who talk and play football all the time to actually practise archery, gun shooting, horse riding etc and then we can enter competitions instead of trying to go after the football player models, and idiots in our families trying to copy bollywood actors!

    I know PKMC and their gurdwara Guru Maneyo Granth explain teach people to do simran with this breathing way. Also do people who receive exclusive Naam Dhrir in exclusive amrit sanchars do it this way? Is this the way to do it for special Naam Dhrir? The breath way I have always found weird. Also any link or write-up for the surat shabad explanation, it will come in very useful for discussions on here and some other forums? A good thing to know against the notorious PKMC and Guru Maneyo Granth gurdwara sangat!
