  1. read the article, both Teja Singh Bhasauria and his son are involved in this business of leaving out lines from Benti Chaupai !
  2. And again you see it's the notorious Bhasuaria teaming up with the British to destroy bani. You will see in many places that Bhasauria has interfered and caused a lot of issues which are still prevalent in the sikh panth today!
  3. Pakistanis are not less racist. Even their education is system, they are taught a lot of racist stuff at schools!
  4. Had to come back to this topic as it is literally one of the top results on Google, when searching for skipped lines about Benti Chaupai: https://www.sikhnet.com/news/chaupai-sahib-broken-bani I used to use that app, but I started using: Sundar Gutka (Damdami Taksal) This app has choices of reading Taksali, Budha Dal and Hajoor Sahib versions of some banis. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.damdamitaksal.sundargutka&gl=GB
  5. Just heard this on Panjab Radio this morning in the UK. There was a consultation on changing the name for Havelock Road, Southall - this is also where the famous Singh Sabha Gurdwara is situated (which you will sometimes see in media and some British TV movies and documentaries), there is also another popular Singh Sabha Gurdwara on Park Avenue in Southall - just explaining to avoid confusion. Here is an article from 2002 to show context with regards to Major-General Sir Henry Havelock and issues with the name of the street. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/2003119.stm So anyway the radio station was congratulating everyone as it seems the name change has been approved! Just found some Singh Sabha Gurdwara facebook posts regarding this now: https://www.facebook.com/sgsssouthall/posts/2646454702122065 Also on the gurdwara Facebook story https://www.facebook.com/stories/1817655594943329/UzpfSVNDOjI2NDY0NDAwNTg3OTAxOTY=/?source=story_tray A few days ago in Bristol, a slaver trader's statue was toppled by the protestors. Yesterday, Robert Milligan was taken off plinth in London by the Tower Hamlets Council in East London. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/jun/09/sadiq-khan-orders-review-of-all-london-statues-for-slavery-links It looks like these protests about #BlackLivesMatter which erupted due to the shooting in USA are also useful for sikhs. This is already helping in pushing the case for Havelock's name to be removed from the street in Southall, whereas before no progress was made. The uk will now be looking at colonial statues and memorabilia to see what can be removed. This is important as many of the colonial related people affected sikhs in negative ways! NOTE: I know protests are going on, but as it is COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, please be safe and observe social distancing. There is too much crowding at these protests, and could lead to increases in cases for the virus!
  6. some muslims see him as being religious or a holy man.
  7. the problem with hinduphobia against symbology is from colonial era sects etc. Remember as sikhs we respect both nirguna and sarguna roop.
  8. Dhumma is meant to represent Bhindra Taksal and he says these things? He should be removed from jathedaari, what an idiotic ignorant thing to say!
  9. lol I just noticed from the journalist's computer that he is still using out-of-date Windows 7 which is insecure since January 2020. Journalists should know better, he is at risk of being hacked or something!
  10. so they are no longer practising social distancing in India during Coronavirus covid-19 pandemic? Also saw this video play straight after from 2016: Yes even dhadrianwala use the "video cut/edit" excuse. However I wouldn't call Patna Sahib jathedaar as a nobody!
  11. nah that's wrong though. If someone is physically beautiful, it does not matter which skin colour they have! I love some of the cultures of black people and the diversity. However I do not like those that follow the rap and gangster culture - I guess it's black people that are into this culture are the ones who are going to do stuff like stealing. Well anyone of any colour following that type of culture will probably do stuff like that, And it's even worse when apney try and follow that kind of culture thinking it's cool. I just love how primal or traditional some of the black cultures are, and some black people look primal as in they look like more like original humans or real humans, I can't think of the correct term - I mean some of them would probably make great Nihang Singh warriors!
  12. Hong Kong was something like that until recently.... I guess Kashmir too, but there's way too many terrorists there
  13. Harpreet singh makhu Sukhpreet udoke Although I have seen Udoke with a lot of hinduphobia in some of his prachar. And don't know too much about him, but I thought sikhri was some kind of media platform for sikhi information. Sikhri (Harinder)
  14. which gurdwara is this in Ludhiana? Does the notorious Teja Singh Bhasauria fit in as a missionary? I am surprised with a few of the names there though...
  15. You reshare your videos on Instagram, Twitter and Youtube to gain more exposure. Usually on instagram the videos will keep the watermark for TikTok.
  16. the term I recommend is sikhiphobia, a phobia to sikhi as opposed to a phobia to sikhs. There is much more sikhiphobia than even those above. We allow sikhiphobia to happen in some instances due to not trying to offend practicers of certain religions and cultures, and this is not acceptable!
  17. nope sgpc never good. they should just be caretakers of gurdwaras, not influencing maryada and traditions.
  18. I couldn't believe it when I saw those comments in the University sikh society whatsapp. just totally acting subservient with the expense of the traditions and beliefs and even kurahits of sikh community! so shocking!!!
  19. I think stuff like desi bethaks is really important to do. I left my dumbbells in the garage and keep forgetting to bring them into the house. I have got a kettleball in my room/office and use that, you can kind of do indian club exercises with kettleballs as well. I keep another kettleball in an upstairs room in case I feel like doing a short workout.
  20. Yes I know about Madhus. My cousin had her wedding catering done by Madhus. My cousins were given a taster before the wedding and then they told her it was halal, and then obviously they complained. So Madhus arranged non halal catering for the wedding. But it's just a shock that these caterers don't cater to sikh needs unless they are specifically asked. I saw a Catering company used by people in Reading and they do something similar, the food is halal unless you use the sikh catering option. I think the catereres are run by Dhillon or Dhillion, something like that. Nah I moved into Cowley Uxbridge, it was full of goray. Until I went to Uni most of my life was around goray besides the time I was spending years in Guru Nanak School. However what astounded me was seeing all my relatives in areas such as Slough and Southall just cutting off their kesh and not knowing how to read and write gurmukhi properly or at all. I just don't see understand why people who lived in apnay areas didn't have any maan in sikhi or being sikh! an incident happened last week in the Brunel University 2019 Sikh Society Whatsapp group. Some Singhs posted this petition against halal in schools https://www.change.org/p/boris-johnson-stop-halal-meat-in-school-children-shouldnt-eat-slaughter-religious-meat-in-schools?recruiter=false&utm_source=share_petition&utm_campaign=psf_combo_share_initial&utm_medium=whatsapp&utm_content=washarecopy_19889602_en-GB%3Av3&recruited_by_id=ba2a1040-95cb-11ea-a83e-17d9f83f095a Both Singhs got kicked out of the group. I started a discussion about this being a bujjar kurahit. Everyone from monay to some group admins started on me. One group admin Singh said this years' sikh society is for oneness and that uni is multicultural, and we shouldn't discuss these things. One admin even went as far as saying 'Meat is Meat' whether halal or not. Anyway after some discussion I was disappointed, there were a few people that also agreed with me. But I can't believe these uni students were behaving as cucks. Some people were saying we were belittling another religion because of this petition?! Such is the state of uni sikh societies, it seems they will not support other sikhs who don't want to eat halal. "In November 2006, the couple's then 19-year-old son, Antonio, was prosecuted after his Range Rover Sport left one-year-old Cerys Edwards with severe brain damage after his car, which was travelling at 70 miles per hour (110 km/h) on the wrong side of a 30 miles per hour (48 km/h) single-track road,[19] hit the Jeep her parents were driving. He was the first person convicted under English and Welsh law from evidence recovered from his car's Event Data Recorder system, concealed in the driver's airbag.[19] In April 2008, Antonio Boparan was sentenced to 21 months in jail for dangerous driving, at Birmingham Crown Court. In February 2012, Cerys Edwards' family was awarded £5M, and a sum of £450k per annum every year for her life for Cerys' care, from Boparan's insurance company.[20] Cerys died at Birmingham Children's Hospital on 17 October 2015, aged 9.[21] In April 2014, Antonio Boparan was involved in a Birmingham bar brawl which left a man blinded. Antonio later admitted in court to inflicting actual bodily harm and violent disorder.[22] He received a 12 months prison sentence.[23] March 2019, The millionaire's son was today (March 7) sentenced to 18 months behind bars over the death of the youngster." By the way is sikh community not able to do a collaboration with them to do jhatka? I mean he even puts Singh in his middle name!
  21. how were they force feeding halal at workplace? I worked at a place that labelled halal and I started avoiding most of the food. I just don't trust chefs and cooks to be competent enough to not contaminate. Waheguru, sikhs doing hookah and shisha seriously. I had some sikh girl start on me on UB1UB2 instagram group where they put 1 ad on for hookah. I was confused that they put on the ad because the group seems sikh as they post a lot of sikh stuff - I could be wrong though. Anyway she shut up after I explained some history of british sikhs and Gurus etc. I was at Godolphin school until early 90s, then I moved into West London when I was in year 4. When in the Godolphin first school I used to tell the kids beef is bad. I even got some muslmaan to avoid beef at school , some muslim kids would come to me and tell me "that dal has beef" or some stuff like that, loong time ago now so fuzzy memory. I would have probably kept going to that Punjabi School around Grassmere Avenue, I think it was Sundays at Lea Valley school. or Lea School. anyway I learnt better punjabi at Guru Nanak School Hayes anyway, shame they didn't teach me the whole Japji sahib when I was there for many years. Also would have probably ended up going to Herschel Grammar as well. I was living at York Avenue, still got the house for renting out.
