  1. VJKK VJKF I've noticed that a lot too, my grandad always talks about caste and stuff: "Oh we are Tharkan, we shouldn't be talking to chamars". I was so suprised because at the end of the day, we are all humans regardless of our caste. I don't see myself as a Tharkan, I see myself as casteless. I just think that castes are just a huge ego boost. VJKK VJKF
  2. VJKK VJKF VJKK VJKF! VJKK VJKF ? VJKK VJKF Kini vaari hor? VJKK VJKF

  4. VJKK VJKF You have a friend, Vaheguru is your eternal friend and nobody can change that. Not at all... I can feel your pain from your post, the truth is that you don't need to be accepted by any mortal because Vaheguru already accepts you. Even if no human can feel your cry for help, Vaheguru can feel exactly what you are feeling. Call out to Him, He will definitely answer. Do an ardaas, tell all your feelings to Vaheguru. Its such a shame that nobody believes you. You can trust Vaheguru even if you can't trust anyone else. Punjabi famlies are the worst about asking their kids whats wrong. You are no doubt a great person, carry on praying and reading the translations. Vaheguru will take your hand, you may be a father youreslf but you are still a son to Vaheguru. VJKK VJKF

  6. VJKK VJKF Yeh probably... but then again Maharaj says: They do not savor the Taste of the Shabad; they are attached to the love of duality. They are worms in the filth of manure. They fall into manure, and into manure they are absorbed. ||2|| https://gurbaninow.com/shabad/91/1175 VJKK VJKF
  7. हिंदी में क्यों? अंग्रेजी में क्यों नहीं?
  8. VJKK VJKF Let's forget spirituality for one second, we all know how harmful alcohol is for the body. On the contrary; Vaheguru simran makes people feel good so why don't they hold onto that instead? VJKK VJKF
  9. VJKK VJKF I think if you put yourself in their shoes and then explained to them the alternative option that they could've chosen it could be more effective. If you cut off completely with them, the Panth won't grow because if he/she has children, who will teach them about Sikhi? Yes, marrying a gora/gori is not the right thing to do but if you explain to them from your point of view why you think its wrong, if they truly loved you then they would understand you aswell. So its a two way thing, you have to understand each other in order to find the solution. VJKK VJKF
  10. I suppose it does depend on the situation though.
  11. VJKK VJKF I think the situation for this to happen was if your sibling felt as if they weren't being loved by family but felt loved by that individual. And... We all know how great Punjabi parents are at showing their love to their child/children. I would try speaking to them first and tell them why its not right. A bit of explaining with pyaar can go a long way... VJKK VJKF
  12. VJKK VJKF They have just been slyly sneaking rituals into our culture which we mistake as Sikhi. VJKK VJKF
  13. VJKK VJKF What would you do? I don't know what I would do... VJKK VJKF
  14. VJKK VJKF That's so true! I have so much stuff in my heart that I really want to share with someone but I can't because my parents are typical Punjabi parents and I know what they are like so I keep everything to myself and that's just the way that I am now. My mum doesn't know what I am really like and neither does my dad. That's why I like coming on here to listen to other people's problems and give my twopence worth because I know what it feels like. Yes. That's why most girls become besharam because they want to "fit in" because there is a lack of parchaar. That's also why I cherish Guru Ji so much because even if my parents don't understand me, Guru Ji does. If we had more parchaar then no Sikh girl would feel insecure enough to trust a stranger. I agree, its not only girls at risk but it's also boys. Muslims (I have noticed) can't help it, they HAVE to tell EVERYONE about how great their religion is and Sikh children are too scared to do so because they feel they will be bullied. We have a lot we have to improve... VJKK VJKF
