  1. There’s either Truth or illusion. Guru Nanak said there is no Hindu or Muslim, only One. Hence no religion, only One and its Sat, Truth. Most religions are the same at the core, just a lot of corruption on the way. Modern day students or Sikhs have decided to twist what the Gurus taught and turn it into a closed minded, image based cultural sect. And it isn’t, its freedom from all of that for living the Truth is living in Freedom of the illusion.
  2. Sat1

    Detached

Good stuff. Gurbani speaks of Sehaj, being at peace and relaxing. There’s no need to fear God. There is so much negativity in the world that the bhagat reacts in positivity. Being a positive person is key to walking on the path. The Gurus reacted this way to most events in their lives. Relax and be at peace, life is temporary so enjoy it while you can and be a good soul.
  3. Gurbani speaks of the afterlife. Souls who die carry on to the next stages of their own personal journeys and learn whatever they need to learn
  4. It’s not a religion, there are no barriers so that helps when speaking about Truth and resonates with humans who recognize this Truth
  5. I’ve asked for guidance and for God to help rid me of doubts and insecurities and those prayers have been answered. We dictate our own lives so I asked for guidance
  6. You will find that good souls now are few and far between, but that they are not always what you envision them to be externally etc. But closed minded souls don’t get that. It would take a Sant to appear in mainstream everyday dress, speaking and practicing the Truth and people starting to recognize them for the Truth they teach to make people understand that external appearance doesn’t mean anything, it’s the internal that counts. These days many claiming to be bhagats wear the dress but neglect the internal, no difference between these souls and many you find on Instagram.
  7. Yes, the Gurus were pretty aware of many faiths. And they knew that the core of every major religion was the same, One God, Truth, pure unconditional love, be a good soul etc, everything is a projection of Nothing etc.
  8. Don’t have a go at me, I’m just saying what’s in Gurbani, we are One, the drop in the ocean, ocean in the drop. You can’t claim to practice or follow gurbani if you doubt it. How can we not be one when that’s the entire point gurbani tries to teach us? To see God as All There are good souls and bad souls out there, those who choose to be good and those who don’t. Avoid the bad and surround yourself with the good. Be wise, don’t allow yourself for fall for rubbish that people try to sell you. And defend yourself if and when you need to. But don’t forget that it’s all a Khel. The races you speak of, there are good and bad in each..ultimately they are just humans who choose to be good or bad, deluded or not. There are plenty of deluded so called Sikhs out there. If you find a human who is a good soul who is not your color or culture (both Illusions) and you want to marry them, then who cares. Guru Nanak said he has no caste or creed and for sure he had no culture either. He just recognized himself as the Truth in form and saw God in every heart. Which we tend to forget. Also Sikh isn’t a religion, it’s the Truth that was taught in other religions but corrupted. Saints and Bhagats have existed since the Saturday and beyond. The path isn’t separate, it’s the same, all of the rubbish was burned away by the Gurus Teachings and what was left was the pure truth. And it was taught in great depth. That’s why it resonated with so many Hindus and Muslims, they knew it was Sat without the rubbish their gods and goddesses and teachers had added to it.
  9. Culture is an illusion and a barrier to the realization that we are one. When you can see past it as the Gurus did, you realise that skin color doesn’t matter, different dress doesn’t matter, different foods don’t matter. Love has no logic, and Truth is a pure unconditional love. Nirboah and Nirvair, loving acceptance that it’s all just Him, and fearlessness because of the same.
  10. Guru Nanak came to the world teaching that humans are the same, ocean in the drop, drop in the ocean, and yet people on here continue their racist closed minded rants. You have learned nothing of what the Gurus taught if you can’t accept this one fact. The Gurus spread love. You are not spreading love, only hate.
  11. You can marry who you want.. as long as you love each other and are committed to each other. Sikh is not a religion, it’s the Truth. Sikh means student so we are students of Truth. Truth is eternal and has existed before the Gurus times and beyond. It is Not reserved only for brown people because it’s All Pervading, it is everyone, everything, everywhere. We were created to live, experience and discover it. The Gurus taught us to be good souls, being with someone Good is the wise choice. However, humans can change as Guru Nanak showed. The Gurus never stood in the way of Love, because love is beautiful. It shows that we are One, beyond caste, creed, the external illusion of separateness and it defies all logic, which we are taught to rid ourselves of. If the girl is good or at the least, good to you, respects you, and you show this back, then there isn’t a problem. We are taught to respect and love ourselves so if you respect and honor each other then go for it. Worst case it won’t work out, best case it will. You are learning that external appearance and color is an illusion and doesn’t matter. That’s what the Gurus taught, to embrace people as one and the same. Don’t listen to people who put up cultural barriers, or barriers that don’t make sense, follow your heart and be good.
  12. The Gurus are all one, same jyot, which is also us but we forget it.
  13. Both are great. I find Vinyasa to be very good and relaxing. Yoga is severely underrated and has insane health benefits for the mind and the body.
  14. Yes and all nhs cleaners not just Sikh. Doing a good job, very brave
  15. Has the above passage been translated properly?
  16. You weren’t speaking to me like a sister before. You need to learn to respect others in action and in your speech before all else. And before you call others uncivilized look at yourself first and ask if you are practicing hypocrisy. God is Truth, and everything else is an illusion ie maya. When u see past the illusion and see the Truth, you’re free. Truth is fearless Unconditional Love, Nirboah and Nirvair. That’s why the Gurus said you must Give your head to find him, because the mind must be silenced, until only the true heart speaks. He’s found with love. There is no religion as per Guru Nanak, no Hindu no Muslim only One. I’m not sure why you continue to twist his words to your own meanings. He made it quite clear. Only One God, His name is Sat ie Truth. Fearless, all loving. Nothing I have have stated is different to what we’re taught in gurbani... it’s not my own logic... it’s there for you to take and apply to your life. I’m telling you gurbani, but maybe you should just read and accept it yourself instead. I am wasting my time here. Why you want to confine God to a religion is beyond me, but the fact is that he is you, me, your computer, the words you type. Confining him to a religion is your own egoistic prerogative, complicating things when really it’s as simple as accepting that All is Him.
  17. Lol. Do you think your responses are cilivlised or even Sikh like. Students of Truth. The student becomes the teacher, the teacher becomes the student. One and the same. No b/s ie maya in between Stop complicating, it’s simple.
  18. A Sikh.. is a student of Truth God, is Truth, is Sat, as per Gurbani. The Dharam, is Sat. Period. Anything else, is illusion. Don’t get it twisted, it’s not complicated as people make out.
  19. You just need to read it and apply it. Try reading it once, and remembering and applying it a hundred times physically in your life, instead of reading over and over. If you forget, read it again, and apply. Thats called Truth in action, or Truthful living.
  20. You don’t get it. One God, Truth is His name. No image, no color no form. Sat is the path, it’s the truth. And we are students of the Sat. Going further we Are Sat, ocean in the drop, drop in the ocean. It’s beyond a sect or institution of any kind. It’s All Pervading.. you, me, the Hindu, the Muslim, the Christian, the horse, the pig. Everything. All in One and One in All. That’s the first lesson we were taught, no Hindu, no Muslim, only One. Until people realise that, there’s no real walking further on the path, we’re lost because we don’t see that it’s just a Khel.
  21. In your opinion... How is me saying that the Truth cannot be confined and that there’s either truth or illusion dismissive. It’s the Truth, read Gurbani.
  22. Not in a tyrannical or egoistic way. With the knowledge that everyone is where they are at spiritually according to Karam and hukam, that everything is Gods will and with the knowledge that each human is blessed with freedom of choice and is free to act and live as they wish. The Gurus were detached and it made no difference to them whether people took in the teachings or not, they just taught respecting others freedom to listen and app,y if they chose to.
  23. It’s not a religion, it’s the Truth. You can’t confine it to anything. There’s either the Truth or there’s BS. Nothing in between.
  24. There is no religion. And it’s not distinct, it’s just the Truth. Theres illusion and there’s Truth. We are students of the Truth. Many bhagats before the Gurus practiced it, Jivan Mukht isn’t only reserved for people after the Gurus time. To think that would be arrogant. The world has been in existence for much longer than that. They came to bring the uncorrupted gyan of Truth back to the world.
