Gurcharan Singh is a Councillor. He is currently with Conservatives. He was with labour for a long time, but switched recently. The reason for the switch was because he felt betrayed by Labour when they FAILED to select him as a Labour Candidate for the post of SOUTHALL MP. Instead Labour chose to select MP Virendra Sharma as the Labour cadidate. He felt this was this selection was due to Sharma's strong links with Indian Congress. I was schocked myself with Gurcharan singh not being chosen as a candidate for Southall MP. Gurcharan Singh is a well known sikh around Southall. He waited patiently for many years for his chance but that chance never came. I was disgusted to learn that a former overseas indian congress president was elected as southall MP. I think Gurcharan made a good move by joining Conservatives. He wasnt gonna be given a chance in labour. Southall Needs a Sikh representative to represent the majority Sikhs. Southall Sikhs need to drop their old habbit of continuously voting labour and start voting for people by looking at who they are. Vote sikh. No1 else will look after sikh intrests. I like the chap. He been part of sikh community in southall for a long time. Not just flyers. I think a formal letter should be written to cinemas through sikh representative bodies such as FSO. Outlining the reasons why this film should not be aired. Also should be added that sikhs will be willing to take action if the film is showed at any of these cinemas. Action in the form of a mass protest outside the cinema. Well Surinder Singh Sodhi was shot on April 17 1984 wasnt he???? he was Bhindranwalle's right hand man. Bhindranwalle himself reffered to the assassination of sodhi as "chopping off my right hand" This increased tensions between Akali party forces and Bhindranwalle. Longowal and Gurcharan singh were traitors who had the assassination arranged. Within days sodhi's killer and several members of the Akali camp were killed in reprisals. Indeed. Longowall was no sant. Even though Sant Bhindranwalle used the title of "sant" to refer to longowall in his speeches out of respect and humility. Badal was in the Akali party Background at the time, waiting to make his move and take over. He was one of those cowards which u mention who had the Sikhs killed then moved in to take his place at the top. Badal was a oppertunist. Gurcharan Singh was so shook that he hid in his office for days without leaving it because he knew he would be shot. His office was on 24hour guard by some Babbars. And there was clear friction between Bhindranwalle and Longowall. We all know how longowall even approached the Indian Govt and schemed with them about removing Sant bhindranwalle from the golden temple complex. But this was down to the treachery of Longowall and it would be unfair to blame this on anyone else but Longowall and his close akaali party associates. But Bhai Gian Singh eventually put Harchand singh Longowall on the train of death. Alot of friction was down to Longowall's treachary and cowardice, he was trying to manipulate the Babbars. This was the only protection he had and he knew it, so he tried to create friction between babbars and taksalis. It was alot of politics involved. In the light of the on going MP's Expenses Scandal in the UK, I have done a bit of research and done a little digging. I have managed to get hold of MP Virendra Sharma's Expenses Claims. I want to highlight some abuse of power on his expenses claims. Although constituents are entitled to ceratin expenses which they can claim back from tax payer's money, I have shown below those which have been abused or squandered unneccisarrily. MP's are allowed to claim back expenses associated with certain things such as "costs associated with running an office". But the expenses i am showing will show him spending heavily the tax payers money. This shows that there needs to be an independant panel set up to scrutinise MP claims. As if the 1st one wasnt expensive enough! or did u not like the 1st fridge??? lol) - -overpriced Vaccume cleaner £50 (dude cant u buy a cheaper one?) - -Microwave £70 (This Should not be a cost associated with running an office) - -Office Keyes , burning a hole in tax payers pocket....£31.01 (i can get set of office keys made for you for £1 per key, so why it cost u so much?, where the keys gold plated??? or did u have a big 24 Carat GOLD OMM sign keyring on it??) This concludes the scrutiny of MP Videndra Sharma's expenses claims. As u can see alot of them are unacceptable and heavily overpriced. Some things I would not associated with costs of running an office. What concerns me in particular is his "petty cash" claims which total £2250 The way sikhs vote Southall is Majority Sikh. So why can we not have a Sikh MP for Ealing Southall constituency?? Why a Hindu MP for Southall? Sikhs need a serious wake up call and need to start voting for SIKHS in the next Elections. He is a man who Voted very strongly against an investigation into the Iraq war. why? In india the same way congress politicians vote against investigation in 1984 genocide. He was also former president of "Overseas Indian Congress". "As an Indian I feel proud of India" he said at the last function held by overseas indian congress to celebrate the congress party victory in Indian elections. What pride is there in a country that exterminates minorities? Sikhs, Christians in Orissa, Muslims in gujarat, even hindus in Sri Lanka. There is no pride in being Indian. We need a Sikh MP to represent the Sikh majority in southall, not Hindu. .
