i think its a dangerous game to be out looking for someone yourself. you could easily get taken advantage of. If your parents are so desperate to get you married, tell them to look for you! well when we have ishnaan and wash our hair, although we have keski with us, our head is uncovered? does that mean we cant recite gurbani or do simran? the aim is to recite gurbani/simran 24/7 and due to combing/washing the kesh we dont keep our kesh covered every minute of the day. i know alot of people who whilst coming into sikhi started to read more baani kant, but didnt have their head covered. so youth started having a go at them, which made them stop doing the baani altogther, becuase they got confused, as they wernt ready to cover ther head 24/7. Ideally we should all cover our heads 24/7, but for the people who are strating out, the main thing is that they are doing baani in the first place, the after that will get more piaas to keep stricter rehit.

no. bibia must wear pyjami. you cant say oh singhs dont wear pyjami, so bibia dont have to wear them. in guru jees time, the singhs used to wrestle topless, shud bibia do the same? at smagams and that wen its really hot you see singhs walking around in their kachere and nothing else, is it ok for bibia to do the same? i think not. do you really think worrying about if you should have to wear pyjami is gonna help you? why wouldnt you want to wear them? you yourself sed wear baana 24/7, in most countries pyjami is a must for singhs aswell because its so cold. just do us a favour, keep your pyjami on bibi jee.

I remember this being discussed on Tapoban (the old forum) - try running a search there. hmmm bibia must wear pyjami underneath there baana. to be honest i think people make out that wearing baana is a massive thing, and something which must be so hard to do, especially when going to work. and we all respect people who wear baana, blah blah lol. we as gursikhs must try to keep rehit, japp naam, recite gurbaani, respect others, try to control 5 theives etc, on a daily basis, this is hard work. its a constant battle. wearing baana is easy, compared to battling the mind. i think wearing it to work is a must too, its great parchaar, so many goreh ask me questions and have a deep respect for me and my religion. its a reminder for me too, that as well as looking like a sikh, i need to act like a sikh. vahigurooo baana is essential for sikhs to wear.

im not married myself, so im probably not the best person to give out advice. but before you start making decisions such as leaving her or getting people involved. The first thing you should do is talk to her. It maybe the most difficult option, but you have to just talk to her. Tell her about the photos, and hear her side. Do ardas that you are able to accept mahrajs sweet will. I know its probably gonna be really tough for you but dont forget you've got mahraj on your side.
