with kirpa daas heard an amazing katha once, so would like share it with everyone. Before I start I would like to say sorry if you think I'm harsh or if you already get the message <_<
Ok, in our everyday lives, as we speak/communicate with other people, we tend to use the following words:
I did this today
This is mine
I do this much paat
And so on… u get the flow……..
but if u think about it NOO your wrong, we sometimes don't really think of the one who created us, that's akal purkh vaheguru , we claim everything is OURS, MINE, but no its not. VAHEGURU is the only giver; vaheguru is the cause of all causes:
My point is, in our speech, we MUST TRY TO put vaheguru first. Instead of 'I did this, I went here, I have this much of blah blah, instead say this:
With Vaheguru's kirpa,
Vaheguru took me here today
Vaheguru gave me the understanding of this
Vaheguru gave me this amount etc etc
gur is ang sang, vaheguru is with u all the time, so lets adopt a correct way of talking to other ppl, lets mention and keep vaheguru first and lets beat away haumai and hankaar.

O Great Giver, O Giving Lord, my consciousness is continually centered on You.
if you think about it, WE do not do ANYTHING, its all done by vaheguru, not even a leaf can move without vaheguru's hukham, so who are we to say, I did this,
Btw, for those who will say that its hard to say vaheguru did this in a formal conversation with work colleagues/friends who are not Sikhs, well I would say that we should make an effort, and yeah I know its hard to say, but at least try.
Same applies for meeting other gursikhs; we should obviously say 'Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, Vaheguru ji ki Fateh' but also, if we are asked how we are doing, say:
Vaheguru's kirpa, vaheguru's mehar, lol don't moan…. be happy and positive
Please please forgive my mistakes,
Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ki fateh
