Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh jio

Anyone who with Guru Sahib's kirpa attended the Uk smagam rain-sbai will no doubt know how amazing it was.

Their was one shabad that really hit me hard. I think it was manpreet Singh who sung it, but not too sure.

bidhiaa n paro baadh nehee jaano ||

har gun kathhath sunath bouraano ||1||

I have gone insane, chanting and hearing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||

maerae baabaa mai bouraa sabh khalak saiaanee mai bouraa ||

O my father, I have gone insane; the whole world is sane, and I am insane.

mai bigariou bigarai math aouraa ||1|| rehaao ||

I am spoiled; let no one else be spoiled like me. ||1||Pause||

aap n bouraa raam keeou bouraa ||

I have not made myself go insane - the Lord made me go insane.

sathigur jaar gaeiou bhram moraa ||2||

The True Guru has burnt away my doubt. ||2||

mai bigarae apanee math khoee ||

I am spoiled; I have lost my intellect.

maerae bharam bhoolo math koee ||3||

Let no one go astray in doubt like me. ||3||

so bouraa jo aap n pashhaanai ||

He alone is insane, who does not understand himself.

aap pashhaanai th eaekai jaanai ||4||

When he understands himself, then he knows the One Lord. ||4||

abehi n maathaa s kabahu n maathaa ||

One who is not intoxicated with the Lord now, shall never be intoxicated.

kehi kabeer raamai ra(n)g raathaa ||5||2||

Says Kabeer, I am imbued with the Lord's Love. ||5||2||.

The first two lines really hit me hard

Recently I have been a bit low and had a few doubts in my mind, these doubts have mainly been brought on from the amount of rubbish that is being put on the internet by certain individuals from the UK. This rubbish always leads back to books of knowlegde and intellectual debates.

But someone like me who is simple and just wants to do bhagti finds it hard to understand these complex theories and books of knowlegde and debates.

So i've been a little bit confused about these issues recenlty, but with Guru'jis kirpa, this shabad at the rain-sbai blew away any minute doubts that i had.

okay let certain people watse their time in pointless debates and read many books of knowledge from different writers, at the end of the day, all we got is our Beautiful Guru Maraj, and my understanding of this shabad and my expereince while listening to this shabad at the rainsbai, was forget about debates and books of knowlegde and just chant Gods name.

Now i expect others may come on this messageboard and go one about all these different books and knwoledge etc, but to be honest, if you aren't doing bhagti and remebering the name of god, the books are useless and keep these books and debates for those who have got time to watse on that, but i know being of simple mind for my own sikhi-progression as the first two lines of the shabad says

I need to follow to this, alot of ppl at the moment want to put doubts in ppl's minds and it makes their postion and egos bigger, however, ignore doubts and stick to Guru's charan.
