Sikhee Through My Eyes

Sikhee is to me, a love and devotion, as waves to the sea,

Sikhee is to me, like as rays to the sun and leaves to the tree.

Sikhi is to me, a pure white lily in the pond, like a flower flourishing from the ground.

Sikhee is to me, a worship of total submission, belief bathing in Amritbani's sound.

I wish, I pray, I beg, I cry, I dream, have a thrist and hunger of same eyes as of Bhai Nad Lal Goya.

A blissful Tenth Master, asked one day and said to Bhai Nand Lal Goya,

"I am much pleased and happy and would like to give my bliss to you, Lal Ji.

But what bliss you receive," said Tenth Master, "You should also be pleased Lal Ji."

Replied Bhai Nand Lal Ji, "Oh Allah's noor, I would like to be seen and called a crazy Lal,

Filled with your endless love and not a rhymester Oh-Sat Gur Kartaar."

A blissful Tenth Master Guru Gobind Singh Ji asked again,

"What else would you like to have my Lal Ji?"

Head bowed, folded hands and with heavy heart brimming with love, "I want to be your leashed kookar! Leash in your sacred hand,

People pointing at me shouting, "Oh look! There goes Goya Lal, a kookar on a leash in Guru's hand!"

I have travelled many previous lives, now Gursimran crumbles in your true Darbar,

I want to be a Sikh, with longing for Sikhee Sikhia Gur Vichaar,

May I please have bliss from you, Oh Sat Guru Kartaar?

I wish, I pray, I beg, I cry, I dream, have a thrist and hunger of same eyes as of Bhai Nad Lal Goya.
