I'm pretty sure that a horse rider can be defeated by a lone person on the ground. And i don't see how you HAVE to ride a horse to be a nihang.

Nihang are world reknown for being very able horsemen. I never said they HAVE to ride a horse but would it not be better to get full training so the UK nihang were able to ride and fight on horseback as well as doing their fancy kirpan displays on the ground.

Pretty pointless being a nihang if you dont know how to ride a horse. A horse rider may be able to be defeated by a lone person on the ground, but I doubt a lone person could beat a nihang on a horse.

pretty pointless being a nihang who can ride a horse in modern times though. I mean sure, its great you can do it, but why's it matter? I understand that traditionally they used to ride horses into battle, but seeing as we don't ride horses anymore, why would it matter?

And even a lone person with a simple bow could kill the horse that the nihang was riding on.

or even a long stick with a spike on it, but i think most days one does not need a horse, well not the "uk nihangs" as u term them for the simple reason most poeple drive/ride cars/bikes, horses could be said to be old fashion n not up to date.

although i think Guru ji once said dnt come b4 me without a horse n weapons or was that kesh, oh never mind

There is an old Hukumnama which asks Sikhs to keep horses.

Horses old fashioned ? Well weaponary has moved on a great deal and in the same sense horses are old fashioned then so are Nihang as most conventional armed forces use guns, mortars etc which no Nihang can fight against.

u see that whats so interesting, it could all be ended by a single bullet, but my knowledge nihangs in india have also trained with guns,

but how much knowledge do ya need to no to fire a gun maybe it'l take u 6 months a year toi be amazin at gun slingin. but to learn shastar vidiya it would take 3 years plus.
