Slough Info:

As far as I know nothing (like last year) has been done from Slough,

No banners

Understand that Sikhs from Slough will be taking a few "old" banners.

It would be good if in future years the hundreds of Sikh children that attend the Panjabi school could be encouraged to make banners, placards etc. and attend the rally and march. They could even encourage their parents to join them. This could be repeated in as many towns and cities with Panjabi schools run by Gurdwaras.

Suggestion - Two "parties" recently fought an election at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Slough - the two parties put considerable effort - leaflets, letters, adverts etc. to win VOTES to do sewa in the Gurdwara. It would be great if as much effort could be put into events such as the Rally and March for Remembrance, Justice and Freedom or Sikh Lobby Days of the UK Parliament. The same suggestion applies to other Gurdwaras that have elections. We should try and get our priorites right.

I'm not sure how these events are organised, but aren't Sikh Federation UK in contact with all the gurdwara committees (particularly Singh Sabha) from all the various places in the UK to promote and organise groups for the rally??? If not then why not??? Surely for an event like this we need to be networking with all Sikh establishments.

I think you can forget about anybody from Swindon arranging anything.
