guru panth di members have requested i post once again, and so, kandola the <banned word filter activated> once again annoys the sangat.

anyway....

rules for trying to get him back,

never never never never never do a katha to him about "saddhi guru and saddi shaheeds" because he will simply switch off, that the worst thing one can do, and i can say that from personal experiences.

gursikh supprt-cant live without them, if you know any gursikhs in your area, invite them to your house and let the sikhi be revived in him.

you cant put a gun to someones head and make them do matha theek, that will only bring bad on oneself.

show him some litreture of the shaheeds but the main thing i say is get gursikh help here, not just on msn because if he uses msn he'll only probably switch and block these people and dee them as fanatics. you need a "conferance" face to face with him, and it may well be good if you brought the family together in one place and let the gursikh do his magic :) .

I would like to say 2 things that I heard in Ranjit Singh Dadrian vale ji's divan and I think that those things are really applicable here.

1.you take a bullet in ur hand and throw at another person,it wont do any damage. You put the same bullet in a gun and shoot and the bullet will kill the person. In the same way, bani is the same,a normal person preaches,it doesnt pearce the heart of the people, some kamai vala gursikh or sant preaches thousands and lakhs get affected.

2.A gursikhs jeevan in itself is a great parchar.

Hence, penji what you need to do is start to follow the rehit of a gursikh strongly.

Secondly, try if possible to get your brother in sadh sangat.

Be patient about the whole issue.Make sure ur brother in the mean times doesnt cross limit and falls in bad company or does some deeds due to which it will be really tough for him later.

WaheGuru Ji Ka khalsa WaheGuru Ji ki fateh

I think that who ever said that who ever goes away from sikhi will definetly come back- is right n im saying this from experience myself-although i havent taken amrit or anything but i tell you that i dont doubt sikhi anymore and defnetly do enjoy hearing Gurbani ect more.

The reason for that was because i felt there was something missing in my life- which is what Gurbani talks about feeding your soul by reading ect. The thing that was missing made me feel incomplete and im wasting my time living and i didnt exactly enjoy life anymore because of some problems ect.

Its good to see that Gursharan is taking interest in your brothers sikhi- it just shows your a good sister.

You just have to make him understand what sikhi is about and if he has any doubts in sikhi try to clear them.

I hope to WaheGuru that you get shown the way to show others the way on the true spiritual path, God willing.

WaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa WaheGuru Ji ki Fateh.

i suggest you:

1. engage him in intellectual discussions (this not the same as preaching to him).  explain to him the benefits of acts of devotion and also hear his views out.  let him challenge your views.

2. give him regular advice to stay away from drugs, 'girlfriends', alcohol etc because they are the road to hell.  it will balance out all the stuff he hears from his 'friends'.

3. teach him small pieces of of Gurbani he can keep in mind.  like 'sabna jeea ka Eko Data so meh visra nahi jahe'.
