I would just like to inform my sikh brothers and sisters who are considering a career in the British Army that it is still a very racist place to live and work in.

In my 5 years of service i have had been called paki wog rag head and many other names and i have had my room trashed and B.N.P posters taped to my door and i have also been punched and kicked by NCOS and i have been abused due to the fact that i dont drink or smoke i have had people kicking my room door and shouting names in the middle of the night. At this point i have had enough and i am due to leave the Army on dec 16th and when i do get out i am very seriousy considering informing the media on how the british army really is.

does anyone have any media connections ?

Sorry to hear that brother, shows you how stupid and uneducated people in the british army are, they dont know how hard sikhs faught in the british army during WW1 & WW2

I would also reccomend that people shouldnt join the royal marines, as the 'initiation ceramoney' requires you to dance around naked with your fellow soldiers, and to wrestle them to the ground while your NCOS punch, kick & tickle you all over, its quite disgusting. camra fone recordings of these 'initiation ceramoneys' were all ova the news recently.

Sikh assasin, try to get some camra fone recordings of the abuses and contact all the news papers and media when you leave.

try nick some Enfields L80s for conpensation lol

(though i herd they unrealiable)

Pyare jio, veer ji, do not be niave when approaching the media. Many can spin it against you. It is very important which papers and media you approach, and how you do it.

I know Gursikhs who know media very well. One used to work in BBC, and another is a sikh activist who regularly writes and informs the media.

PM me, and I will give you their details.

waheguru ji kekhalsa, waheguru ji ke fateh

P.S. Also if you have facts, times, names, and have a diary of events. Then you can actualy sue the army. So do not rush into anything, have a strategy and timescale of how to do it.

Veer Ji,

Sorry to hear about that.

Have you reported this racial abuse to officers ? (I doubt they will do anything but you should report it).

Also keep a diary of such abuse and make sure each abuse is reported.

If the abuse continues, have them for constructive dismissal (I have not studied law for a while so perhaps one of our trainee legal eagles on the forum can help). Check to see if your household insurance cover includes cover for such cases. If not consult someone who specialises in employment law (do not go to someone who is a jack of all trades). Take the Army to court and you will get media coverage plus they will have to pay you compensation (if the court/tribunal finds in your favour).

Unless active steps such as this are taken the Army will never change. Media coverage alone is useless and everything is usually swept under the carpet (as hapened in previous cases where black and asian soldiers were abused). Please have a look at the legal routes open to you.

Jagjit Ji makes an important point. Please do not rush into this. Explore the legal options open to you and if possible use them.

Never go to the media before exercising your legal options.

Sorry to hear about your treatment bro. It is well known that the British army is racist to the core, I'm suprised why blacks and asians still see fit to join such a corrupt institution. The British Army needs a fundamental change in its policy towards how it treats and trains British religious/ethnic minorities.

Not long ago a story was reported how a young soldier from a mixed white/sikh background was beaten so badly by his supervisor that he lost the vision in one eye yet he chose to still continue his career in the british army....MADNESS!! if you ask me. These people do not value their own why should they value you being a different skin colour, religion, etc.

My advice is to all Sikh brothers and sisters who are or considering joining the British Army avoid it, do anything, become soldier for Khalistan even, but don't devalue your lives for nothing.
