Sikh Youth Targeted!

Recommended Posts

WaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa,

WaheGuru Ji Ki Fateh.

Everyday it seems increasingly obvious that we are living in the midst of the Dark Age (Kaljug) and as the problems in our community become evident, the solutions should also become clearer. External forces are attacking Sikhi and trying to manipulate and misrepresent the Sikh religion. However, the most disheartening, worrying and dangerous point is that our own community is too slow to accept that it is happening, and far too quick to ‘sweep it under the carpet’.

Sikh Awareness Society initially held presentations in ‘problem areas’, i.e. towns/cities where we knew Sikh youth were targeted. To our horror, the problem seems to be far more widespread. We are being inundated with calls on the Help line from up and down the country.

Our ancestors would never have tolerated the slander and disrespect of Sikhi. However, today we are either asleep or become too ‘open-minded’ to even care or take a stand. People only seem to act when it’s their own sister who is disrespected. Should we wait till it’s too late or make a stand to stop this today?

WE CALL FOR SIKH YOUTH TO UNITE. SHOW YOUR SUPPORT. PLEASE ATTEND

*** Deh Siva bar mohi ehai, sub karman the kabhoo(n) naa taro(n). ***

Oh Lord, grant me this boon, may I never refrain from righteous acts.

u guys r really doing a great job. this is something that we badly needed. and we (sangat) should also stop being toooo open minded and keep watching damage being inflicted upon sikhi. by not raising our voices we are actually being one of the culprits. it is a matter of great shame that our people think twice before speaking against those people who don't tolerate the chardi kala of sikhi and even reject our gurus as true prophets and instead brand us as infidels, idol worshipers, kaafirs etc and are bent on converting by any means.

for mor info go to www.sikhlionz.com/hut

sangat should consider this as his/her duty to create awareness among our society and help defeat the enemies of our panth

bhul chuk maaf

Bro'z remember fire vs fire. The language Islamic fundamentalists understand and respect. You show signs of weakness with Islamics and they'll take you for granted and walk all over you. You can have as many awareness campaigns in gurdwaras as you like but if you dont hit back at the fundentalist islamics with the same tactics they employ then sorry to say but you are fools with hopeless aims.

Hasnt Sikh history taught as anything? Only when Sikhs went on the offensive did Islamic moghul tryanny begin to get uprooted. The do gooder liberal "secular" Sikhs got in the way of expansion of Sikh rule otherwise God only knows how far Sikh rule would have stretched too, perhaps even to the borders of arabia it self and we wouldnt have these problems with muslim fundamentalists preying on our brothers and sisters today.

But I hope these awareness campaigns are just the start. They need to expand to reach out to the youth who do not attend gurdwara so they know from early age whats going down .

Good Work Guys! Now that you got your foot in the door @ the Ramgharia Gurdwara please raise the issue about the banqueting hall conversion (see topic thread below)

http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?showtopic=19240

This might be a good chance for the Singhs to get together and confront the committee about the missing Saroops of Maharaj and the conversion of the community centre to a wedding party hall..

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH.

Those of you who have sat through this presentation in the past will know how imformative it is, and how important it is to get the message out to all our youth.

I am hoping you will support us, and promote these events to your friends/family, book us at your university/college Sikhi events, or your local Gurudwara.

Please forward the poster to your friends/family
