Basically do what you want with the meat issue but dont eat hallal, but your a complete <banned word filter activated> if you drink alcohol.

ALL Sikhs know they arent supposed to but millions do anyway, or they justify that if you dont take Amrit then you can and once you find out your going to die from your tore up liver, stomach or kidneys then you have to quit and then you feel Amrit will benefit you after you already forsaken the Gurus teachings and your boat is 7/8ths sunk then you follow rehat and dont drink like 10 min before you die.

1) We could argue that until our deaths...

Actually we wouldn't have to because that article has, whether you like it or nott brought closure on this issue. Try reading it and understanding it.....before commenting.

2) ... ... ... so what? Who in the world is your cousin? What makes whatever he/she does so perfectly right? lol

Point being he is a strict vegetarian doing an honest days work...........he is not consuming it (meat), but just handling it. ................in anycase he is a nobody...just a a good ordinary person.

3) I get what you mean, but I want to point out that medicines contain a minimum of alcohol--you would like die before you got drunk of that crap...

WRONG.

Brother has pointed out you can get drunk easily one medicines and things like Listerine, Night Nurse etc.

Good point.

The reason why Guru's frowned on intoxicants is because it is an escape from the reality of life. Guru's told us to face the realities of life, and not escape from them. So consuming alcohol is like asceticism..........or being a monk......or withdrawing from society.

Its called water intoxication :| @

Drinking too much water can lead to a condition known as water intoxication and to a related problem resulting from the dilution of sodium in the body, hyponatremia. Water intoxication is most commonly seen in infants under six months of age and sometimes in athletes. A baby can get water intoxication as a result of drinking several bottles of water a day or from drinking infant formula that has been diluted too much. Athletes can also suffer from water intoxication. Athletes sweat heavily, losing both water and electrolytes.

It's Not How Much You Drink, It's How Fast You Drink It!

The kidneys of a healthy adult can process fifteen liters of water a day! You are unlikely to suffer from water intoxication, even if you drink a lot of water, as long as you drink over time as opposed to intaking an enormous volume at one time. As a general guideline, most adults need about three quarts of fluid each day. Much of that water comes from food, so 8-12 eight ounce glasses a day is a common recommended intake. You may need more water if the weather is very warm or very dry.

People wont beleive it but my Uncle is a doctor and my Aunt is a nurse and always has emergency patients who pass out at sports games etc because they are dehydrated. They {the athelite} always say but I have drank a whole bunch of Gatorade. The salt {Sodium chloride} in Gatorade is enough to shock your body and absorb water from your body plus you sweating equals dehydration.

They recommends not to drink Gatorade but to drink water and eat a banana or an orange before or during a sports activity or exersize.

If you drink alot of water already then Gatorade can be benefitial because of the electrolytes but Gatorade should not be a substitute for water.

Believe me or not its up to you to decide
