Vhs To Dvd

I've got this old video tape on VHS that I want to make a copy of on a DVD to preserve it. Whats the best way to do this? What equipment stuff do i need?....I think there are VCR and DVD Player combos in one unit but I think you can't record on the DVD.....

anyway, someone please post some ideas, thanks!

to convert VHS to dvd the other way is using pc

You must have a good capture card in your pc, You will comnnect VCP/VCR to comp. and start caturing the movie

then you will convert into desired format, and burn dvd, before buying any capture card, you must look for that card which has a software that converts directly into dvd fromat and the data rate of the card if the data rate of the card is very low you will miss the frames from the movie.

this is an difficult way, thos is ok if you hane more time, money and you are really computer crazy.
