Swami Ramdev Ji Visiting Gurdwara Karamsar Ilford

Recommended Posts

WJKK WJKF,

TavPrasad Singh u mentioned that Karamsar is trying to be the number one gurdwara in the area. let me tell u something it's not trying to be BUT is the number one for the reason becoz there is peace in that place of worship. Why haven't you ever thought why do the sangat go there? Please answer.

Secondly, the other gurdwara's around the area are just jealous of Karamsar becoz majority of the sangat finds peace there and the other Gurdwars are just worried about their bank balances. If you have any problems please just go to the gurdwara instead of stating poision in the mind of the sangat.

Thirdly, ur stupid remarks regarding publicity about the Gurdwara, trust me that this Gurdwara needs no publicity. Anyway if Micheal Jackson, David Beckham and Amitabh Bachan or even Swami Ji wanted to come to the Gurdwara who are we to stop them plus how would this be a publicity stunt. Please explain.

Jaz Singh

Your narrow mindedness is representative of those who believe in "I'm alright Jack"! Dont worry about other Gurdghars that are also of your Father Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, not SantPartap Singh! Does any other Gurdwara exist in the world? Do you see yourself as part of the Panth or a group who follow a Sant?

Tell me why Karamsar has started to cater for weddings and allows tables in the Langar hall. Previously when Karamsar was a little Gurdwara, people were told that tables are not allowed in the Langar. Come on open your eyes even Karamsar is after money and has built the new Gurdwara with these things in mind. Also a major change is that previously names were never read during Ardas, except for arambh & bhog of Akhand Path, Sehaj Path or specific programmes. Now this has started at Karamsar aswell. Karamsar is an example of a Gurdwara that has gone wrong and you can see the drastic change that has taken place. Karamsar is the only Gurdwara I have been to where the Dhol is blasting away during Nishan Sahib Seva, no Chaupai Sahib or Kirtan. Oh and not forgetting the fireworks during Gurpurabs that shake the Gurdwara and are done while the diwan is happening so noone can hear the Kirtan.

Of course Swami was a publicity stunt! Karamsars new slogan is "as seen at Karamsar!". Guruji house is open to all. However dont abuse this principle. Dont give specialist treatment to superstars, stick to what Guruji taught us. Everyone is equal regardless of their yoga skills. Karamsar CALLED swami to the Gurdwara, he didnt turn up unannounced, all the Karamsar Representatives were there and it was a week day, these lot must have booked holidays from work!! Karamsar flows in the direction of keep people happy and if that means forgetting Sikhi and Guruji, so be it.

You carry on in your Karamsar world. Dont forget to get the autographs of all the major celebs who will be invited to Karamsar in the future.

WJKK WJKF,

I have spoken with someone who attended and have advised that the Microphone was not turned off when the path was happening, the mircophone was not turned on. So what u r clearly saying is that when an Akhand Path is happening and when the secetary of any Gurdwara turns the mic off to do a speach to inform the sangat this is wrong. Therefore, ur comments don't make any sense. As far as I am concerned the comment that you have made should be pointed to every Gurdwara not just at Karmasar because the same has happened at every other Gurdwara that Swami Ji has visited.

That picture doesn't prove anything. What does prove? No one is askin you to do matha tek. If you are not comfortable then don't it. But you cannot force ur opinion upon other ppl. Infact that person is not doing matha tek she touching the feet like we would to our mother, father our anyone older than us.

Jaz Singh

why was the mic off?

It is a business. How can the secretary afford to be there all the time? I was told that he gets paid. All the other people who are in the front line are getting paid. Most them are seeking benefits and getting cash in hand there.

My fathers friend is in the commity he told me he heard Sant Say at some ones programme: 'What do we want from these people' they have not given me no money they are tight.

Also it is well known to every one that he likes crusing in his mercedes where is this money from? is this the money from the gholak?

He came to my house so many times uninvited? Real sadhu would be busy meditating. I do not see him as a baargi?

My grandma goes there she tells me so much stuff it just makes me crazy. Not all can be a saint, it is a despressing path, you have to get rid of all your desires.

My grandma just told me... on Thu ladies satsang day. Some of the women eat his jhoot known as 'Sheat Parshad'. Is this sikhi?

Hmmmm the last time i went to karamsar was the AKJI programme last year. it was in the upstairs diwan and on the same floor was Maharaj's sachkhand. these pictures have been taken right next to the sachkhand. it shows that the gurdwara is about looks and not respect for guruji. why didnt the gurdwara stop these lot from taking pictures. this is a gurdwara not a romantic ancient indian palace have some respect. sorry but when you see the gurdwara you think they have designed it around the sachkhand. but then for them to allow such pictures to be taken right next to the sachkhand it shows that making people happy is more important no.gifno.gifno.gif

Unfortunately, this happen at many GuruGhars which are associated to Babay. A few years ago, I personally saw jhoot (left over food/drink) of a Baba being distributed to the sangat and unfortunately even had some myself (before I knew what Sikhi was all about!).

I admire some elements of maryada in Gurdwaras linked to Nanaksar, RaraSahib and other Sant Sampardays. But the overriding factor is always the attachment to the Baba and the attachment to those Babas material things, like his chair or shoes etc.

We need to sit and reflect on what our Sikhi is. If its about making friends with a Sant then you can matha theek him all day and eat his jhoot because you are not out for anything else. You will be socially accepted and the Mahapursh will know your name and probably come round your house, the locals will label you as a Sewadar and you will feel that you are a "good person" because Mahapursh likes you and furthering your Sikhi Journey is not required. Dont forget Sikhi looks beyond whether you think you are a good person or not, even Sri GuruArjan Dev Ji proclaimed himself to be a Paapi! I initially got into Sikhi via the sangat of Babay, but as I got deeper and deeper into Sikhi I could not comprehend the whole “Baba worshipping” scene. It didn’t make sense to me; sangat would be more focused about having the darshan of the Baba then of Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. No one was get inspired to take amrit, instead everyone was following the Baba around. And then all the Baba would do was give Quality Street chocolates to Sangat, no vichars, no bachans.

If we want Sikhi to be part of our life then we have to realise that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Some Mahapursh have left legacies becoming landmarks to the progression of Sikhi, other mahapursh have just made Punjabis feel comfortable in their lifestyles. I am sceptical about the whole modern day Baba scene at the moment and what it is actually achieving. I think some of the Punjabi Sangat today opt out of Amrit and just follow the Baba around assuming that this is better than taking Amrit and following Rehat. And what’s more disheartening is the Baba doesn’t seem to discourage it.
