With Guru Jis Grace, SIKHI WEEK is coming up in Mid Term!!!

For children aged 5 to 11 years old: Monday 23rd October to Wednesday 25th October

For children aged 12 to 18+ years old: Wednesday 25th October to Saturday 28th October

Prize/Medal Ceremony and Photo Presentation for all Campers: Saturday 28th October, 5.00pm Start

The camp for the Younger children, (aged 5 to 11 years) will run from Monday to Wednesday, from 9am to 5pm, therefore we advise parents to drop children of at Guru Tegh Bahadar Gurdwara (Camp Site) at 8.45am and return to pick up children up at 5pm everyday. The Prizes and Medal Ceremony and performances by the children will be on Saturday evening, commencing at 5:00pm and finishing at 9:30pm.

The camp for the Older children (aged 12 to over 18's), will be a residential camp, where they will stay the night at camp site. We would like to ask parents to register their children on Wednesday evening at 7pm, at the Gurdwara Reception desk. We require children to be collected at the end of the prize and medal ceremony which will start at 5.00pm sharp and end at 9:30pm sharp on Saturday evening. Breakfast, showers and other facilities will be arranged. Please See List attached for items to bring.

Parents are more than welcome to stay during the camp and help as volunteers, too.

Please fill in the application form provided and send to the Guru Tegh Bahadar Gurdwara Reception Desk (106 East Park Road, Leicester) by Friday 20th October. Alternatively, application forms can be dropped of at Gatka classes on Mondays, or at the Youth Workshops on Fridays, both at Guru Tegh Bahadar Gurdwara.

The theme of the previous camp was based around Vaisakhi and the events of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji's life and the foundation of the Khalsa. The theme of this Camp will be "Who is Your Guru?", which coincides with 300 years of Guru Granth Sahib Ji's 1st Parkaash, commemorated this year.

Camps like these cannot be organised without the support of Parents like yourselves, the Sangat, and most of all Waheguru Ji. Finally, Please let other friends and families know about the camp. Please hand in application forms (Attached) by Friday 20th October. More application forms are available from Guru Tegh Bahadar Gurdwara or alternatively, you may download the application form from:
