Wow, people say I jump to conclusion, which I do at times but still... :D How is something supposed to work, if all you do is criticize things? This program just started, it hasn't even done a full year, and here we are jumping to conclusions, and saying its' this and that. At least allow it some time to exapnd, and see if it works for a year, before you all start attacking it. If anyone of you haven't went in it, how do you know the program works or not? rolleyes.gif You guys are more than welcome to give your beliefs, but even stupidity has its' limits man. rolleyes.gif

oh and BASS SINGH, seriously man, I thought you were cool. What do you always jump to conclusions like that? Just because something doesn't have to do with bani doesn't make it bad, now does it? People with this program can FIND people similar to their beliefs, meaning if some girl wants a Sikhi Saroop person, and wants to get to know him, that makes her bad as well?

SIKHSANGAT relax, and think out things before jumping to conclusion, everything has its' positive and negatives. Just because you guys close your eyes to the postives of this program does not mean they don't exist.

VeerJi,

I couldn't have said it better myself... Do I know you? lol

fateh

My long lost brotherrrrrrrrrrrrrr. hug.gif

Where have you been man?

:D

"You guys are more than welcome to give your beliefs, but even stupidity has its' limits man."

Why imply the sikhsangat is stupid? Are you the only sensible one left here? lol

Explain the positives to my 13 year old cousin and her mum. you are right i havent been to this 'gursikh' event. i am basing my opinion like the world does on the mesage it is sending out. the connotation of the name itself. no one can deny the positives, but then just because it has positives does not make it right. everything has positives and neagatives, your argument is not good enough.

sangat ji,

not that i'm interested in speed dating or anything, but if you don't agree with something.... then simply don't take part in it..... very simple principle actually..... a person can go around spreading wildfire saying don't do this, this is against sikhi, that is against sikhi... but when it comes down to it, just don't take part in it.... if somebody is holding a gursikh speed dating thing, and other gursikhs want to take part in it, i don't think it is anybody's place to tell them that it is wrong... yes the concept of sangat is there in sikhism, but eventually one will have to ultimately one day connect with waheguru on their own... Telling people that the things that are ACTUALLY against sikhism is one thing ex. drinking alcohol, cutting hair, these have been told to us by our guruji's themselves... but if you disagree with something like this, the best thing that you can do for yourselves is not take part.....

Sikhness, how do u knwo that this dating thing will make young people who have just got in 2 sikhi think its right 2 use a dating service?? they could spread it and then all the young generation could be doing it, this is pure manmat! It just means u r desperate 2 marry? This can even make it a KAAm issue, even though looking for a marriage partner is not all 100% kaam as it is finding a lifelong partner, but what im trying 2 say is that why cant u let vaheguroo find ur partner 4 u!! IT will be in ur hukam!!! GURSIKH SPEED DATING!WHAT NEXT???

THIS IS PURE MANMAT, EVEN SPEKAING 2 SOME ELDERS, THEY SED THE SAME!

Your argument suggests that a gursikh can do anything and it is ok. I know of gursikhs who decided that it is ok to book a stripper for a party. is it ok? guru ji gave us a head, so use it. i know it doesnt say 'dont do speed dating' anywhere by our Gurus, but it also does not say we should not sunbathe at a nudist beach, does it mean we can do this?

Actually it is the message this thing will send out, it might be people with good intentions but they also must be responsible.

Veer or Bhain Ji,

look, i'm not going to get into an arguement about whether to be involved in speed dating or not, because i believe arguing points back and forth only to come to no agreement and only bitterness in the end is useless... but the topic on we were discussing was gursikh speed dating... and you brought in stripper, and nudist beach... etc... i don't think that was right of you, when i didn't even mention these things or would have.... when you cite an example, like you were, please do so that is ont he same level with the topic we're discussing... honestly even Bass Singh would tell you that speed dating is a little different than getting strippers for a party... And I didn't say a gursikh can do anything... First of all, I'm not the rehat maryada... Nor am I a guru... All sikhs know the limits of their religion... And even young sikhs.. Bass Singh, I know young sikhs who are more connected with Waheguru than some gursikh elders.... They know what's right or wrong. I think there's so much going on around them in school, at friends houses, that if they know not to use drugs/alcohol with friends... i think they can make their own wrong/right decisions about speed dating.... If you're saying guruji gave us a head, then I agree... USE IT... when making decisions for yourself... and don't go to a gursikh speed dating event which you don't want to participate in...
