Sikhi And Divorce

I feel we will have problem when we attached ourself too much with the spouse. pls remember this line from rehras " janan pita lot sut banitaa koay naa kis kee dharia " Mothers, fathers,friends,children,and spouses--no one is the support of anyone else. why worry so much. Our wedding we walk round the guru, we both get married to the guru. dont expect much from anyone. do ur duty best , be the light house and leave the rest to guru.

i think we need 2 make a difrenciation between divorce in sikhi, and divorce in punjabi community. divorce in sikhi wouldnt even need to be considerd as they should have gurmat principles, and have sikhi as there basis. where as being punjabi culturefied alcohol, domestic violence, etc may then lead to divorce. however in sikhi these activites are banned, therefore shouldnt need to be considered.
