some basic Gurbani Arths

Meen - Fish Gagan - Sky Basuda - Earth Sut - Son/Daughter

Kanchan - Gold Kutanb - Family Kanak - Gold Kant - Male refers to God

Rav - Sun Duttar - Ocean Banta - spouse Meet - Friend

Sassiar - Moon Soor - Sun // - Husband refers to God

Nakhattar - Stars Akaash - Sky

Kaaman - literally female but in Gurbani it refers to our soul longing to meet God

Agam - unreachable Agauchar - beyond our understanding (senses)

Alakh - cant be described Niranjan - Nir meaning without Anjan means surma or Maya (illusion)

Nirankar - without form Thakur - highest (avoid saying Thakar which means stone)

and the 5 Tats (elements) Prithvi - earth Jal - water - Agni - fire Hawa - air - Akaash - sky

some living things only have 1 or 2 of these it is said only humans have all 5 this comes very often in Jaap Sahib Katha
