Even More Cause For Concern

I have just received pictures of the latest break down in maintenance at Park Ave Gurdwara Southall,the pictures below show how the leaking roof has worsened,a roof which was complained about in the investigation into maintenance at Park Avenue by local sangat.As you will see in the pictures buckets are all over the place,the electrical wires run through this leak and the lights were still on!this is hazardous,and is a great cause for concern, the committee was warned by local sangat of this problem,and have been pressuring them through letter,petition and email,Maintenance about Havelock Gurdwara was also complained about and very little has done,they have the money but i believe the committee are to busy eating it rather then using to to repair Guru Ghars, if you don't know what im talking about click the following link read and sign the petition http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?showto...ry228527..Fateh here is the petition link http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/singhsabhasouthall/ ,more pressure is needed before somebody gets hurt or at worst dies,due to major structural failiure,the useless Himmat commitee is only interested in keeping their own houses upt o date and clean not Guru Ghar,like the treasurer Mr Dokal with his luxury cars and houses

You may be happy to hear that the ceiling was dry yesterday and that the langar hall was open for Guru Ka Langar.

It is shamefull if the committe are not forfilling their duties as sevadars and maintaining guru kar.

Just checked an hour ago they have moped up the mess the buckets are still there,and are ful of water

Isn't there something that can be done, has anyone got a roofer or some good sikh to have a look and do this seva. We should get the sangat together and speak to the committe how much can it possibly cost to repair properly.

lol everytime i say a seva group should get together on a weekend - no1 replies! - forget the committee they never have and never will do anything. take some initiative and do something urselves! I would if i lived in southall - i can only come down on weekends if that! but i still try! how hard is it for some strapping young sikhs to fix a roof? lol

That has been thought of,but the commitee will not allow it nd will go as far as removing sangat from premisis,if they try anything,good sources within the Gurdwara have told me that the gurdwara roof as a whole is caving in toward the centre,as cheap materails were used when the gurdwara was made.

You should contact the Health and Safety executive to do a risk assessment. You may need to speak to your local council which I think is Ealing?
