I was looking at this rehat and noticed something very unsikh like....

A Singh must look upon his wife as his faithful Singhni. In the same manner, a Singhni should look upon her husband as Parmeshwar(God).

If taksal was started by Guru Gobind Singh ji and he stressed equality with gender....it shouldnt be like that...it should be [a Singhni should look upon her husband as a faithful Singh]

The Panth Parvanit Rehat Maryada is Only one. That was accepted at Akal Takht after so much delibration. The Rehat Maryada is Printed by SGPC. Other Organisations who do the Parchar of this Rehat Maryada also distribute copies of SGPC.

Sri Akal Takhat Sahib has approved only one maryada. Because Panthic unity is above all.

SGPC published this Maryada, without any Panthic unity. They haven't called Sarbhat Khalsa to discuss the Rehit I think. I heard as well that they made some mistakes in translating into english. The Transaltion into english aren't the best i guess...

Why bring up a topic thats like 4-5 years old ?

The maryada wasnt accepted by the panth, a rough copy was made, then it was left and after soo many years sgpc decided to print a rough copy

The majorit of Gurmukhs at the time left the maryada meeting and didnt attend them as they disagreed with what was being done, it is a known fact bhai sahib bhai randheer singh lef the meetings, Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee left the meeting and when the singhs come to meet them after a few days sant jee said we wont agree on the maryada that you propose as we follow guru sahibs maryada. All this is clearly stated in sant gurbachan singh jees katha.

The rehraas sahib was forcefully enforced on the panth in 1920 - 1930's sant gurbachan singh jee also states how anti panthic forces did this.

Do what you want, no one really cares any more.

Today SGPC may have become the spawning ground for Punjab politicians and today many say its in the control of Badals. But in the olden days when the Rehat Maryada was arrived upon the situation was different.

All the Rehatnamas were studied by the Committees and only those Rehats that stood the test of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji were included.

Today there are quite a number Rehatnamas viz. AKJ, Taksal etc. I feel Sikhs should sit down and ensure that there is only one Rehat Maryada.
