Decent flyer. Worth distributing around the problem areas if not around the UK.

As the author of the flyer has said, we are stuck in a rut where the party hall has now established itself within a disturbing number of our Gurdwara complexes, some going back a decade or two.

In some areas, the Prabhandak committees, fully backed by the local congregation, are willing to effortlessly allow the consumption of meat, alcohol and tobacco as well as dancing and singing to unsuitable lyrics in the name of “taraki” (progression) under the banner of a Gurdwara complex or the Sikh community.

Collectively, we really do have to look at our responsibility in combating this erosion and degradation of Sikh values within our very own establishments and our own community. As a community we are reaping what we ourselves have sowed and if we do not address this issue now then we will certainly have major regrets later on in our own lifetimes.

Not only does the supply of party halls associated to the Gurdwara need to be stopped but the demand from our own sangat has to be addressed, because without demand there is no need for supply. Like all tough things, this will take a long time but if our intentions are righteous and honest then Maharaj will bless us with the sewa. We can only attempt to do our best!
