Minas

Guru Ram Das, the fourth Guru, had three sons, Prithi Chand, Mahadev, and Arjan. Prithi Chand proved unfilial and disobedient, Mahadev became a religious enthusiast, while Arjan, the youngest, followed in the steps of his father. To Arjan, therefore, he bequeathed the Guruship. Prithi Chand he stigmatized as Mina or deceitful, a name given to a robber tribe in Rajputana. Prithi Chand, however, succeeded in obtaining a following, whom he warned against association with the Sikhs of Guru Arjan. Consequently enmity between both sects has existed up to the present time. Miharban, the son of Prithi Chand, wrote a Janamsakhi of Guru Nanak in which he glorified his own father. Here there was ample opportunity for the manipulation of details. It is in this Janamsakhi of the Minas we first find mention of Bhai Bala.

Nikalsaini

Nikalsaini or Narangkaria, a sect of faqirs whose origin is thus described :-

"After the battle of Gujrat and the pursuit of the enemy by Sir Walter Gilbert, the Khalsa (Sikh) army surrendered at Rawalpindi, and giving up their arms and receiving a gratuity of a rupee each, they were permitted to disperse to their homes. A great panic prevailed among the Sikhs of the District: very many cut off their kes or long hair, and were in great dread of being forcibly converted to Christianity. Some months after three men were seen going about the cantonments of Rawalpindi, dressed up in the cast-off clothes and hats of Europeans, and with shaven heads and face.. The eldest gave himself out to be the mahant or chief of a sect, and the others to be his chelas or disciples. The mahant played upon a two-stringed instrument known as the 'dutara' and he and his chelas. sang songs in praise of the English in general, and of John Nicholson in particular, whom they declared to he their guru. It should be borne in mind that during the Sikh rule it was by no means uncommon for faqirs to receive, through the good offices of the kardars or district officers, assignments of land-revenue from the central government at Lahore, for the maintenance of religions or quasi-religious institutions. John Nicholson was well known to the people of Rawalpindi. He had waged in the neighbourhood a guerrilla warfare during the hot weather of 1848 with Sir Chatar Singh and other rebels, and when by the proclamation of the Governor-General, dated the 29th March 1849, the Punjab was annexed, John Nicholson was appointed the first Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi. Therefore these men, by calling themselves Nikalsaini faqirs, were under the idea that the Deputy Commissioner of the District would feel flattered at being associated with a new sect, whose Guru he was acknowledged to be and would no doubt get them a handsome jagir or free grant with which to establish a dharmsala or. monastery all to themselves! But when they found that they were un-cared for by Nicho1son (I have been told that he had them flogged once), and got nothing for their pains, their enthusiasm cooled down, and after two or three years they were heard of no more. I often saw them and once or twice spoke to them in 1850, and, as far as I can remember,. they had not a particle of an idea concerning any of the doctrines of Christianity. They affirmed that the Bible was true, like-wise the Quran and the Granth! Indeed, I fancy that they were the originators of the Narangkarias, Nirankari, a sect of schismatic Sikhs, which sprang up in the Rawalpindi District about the time, and which 20 years ago, promised to bring every Hindu in the Sind Sagar Doab into its fold; but afterwards, for some unknown reason, a considerable number of the converts slid back into orthodoxy, and I believe there are few Narangkarias in Rawalpindi District now. The monument to general Nicholson is at the head of the Margala Pass, about 16 miles from Rawalpindi, on the Peshawar Road. I never heard of any Nikalsaini faqirs there: indeed, I never heard of the existence of any since 1852 or 1853, certainly never since the mutiny."

Here's a powerpoint presentation on all anti-sikh forces:

http://www.sikhisensations.com/multimedia/...Khalsa(RSS).zip

Modern Challenges For Khalsa(rss)

This presentation shows some of the modern challenges for the Khalsa, relating to the historical challenges with Brahmanism, external challenges (Brahmanism, RSS/BJP, Namdharis, Radhaswamis, Nirankaris, Ashutosh, and more) It shows how hindu fanatics are absorbing minority religions into their own by false propaganda and preaching.

Its our duty as gursikhs to do something about these forces, if we love gurujee and his gursikhee, we must defend it.

Arya samajis - The biggest anti sikh hindu sect

Dayanand was born in brahmin Family of gujrat. His name was moolsankar.

mool sanker has two meaning.mool(oriegeon or breed) Sanker(cross) and another meaning is mool(space of emrging) sanker(narrow).Gutter also has such thing.

He use to get food as left over from other.

One day he went in the temple to steal Prasad. He saw that rats have slowly overtook him.He was impressed by rats and then he treied to copy them(as rat eats from humans and then bring plague in them so did he did ditch Sanatan Sikhs later on in Punjab).

Like rat he also had sense of insecurity and lack of self confidance. He had a doubting nature this makes an person insane. So for that he tried to leanr yoga in uttranchal but due to his nautre he could not get any divne expirance. So he said that there is nothing devine.Any faith which does not belive in devinty and with devotion is not a faith but a gruop like that of communists.

Then he studied from a swami aNd got a new name dayanand Sarswati. That swami was also from nayik mat so this guy also became of Nayik Mat.Dayanand has two meaning Daya NAND ie son of Daya and Daya anand mercy and pleasure last could be his name.Saraswati is name of reiver and is female godess.why he was Saraswati and not SarasWAN.Das will tell it later.

So he raomed here and there.Got beating from here and there. And even got some similar disgruntled element supporting him.das will give there history also later. In Lahore once upon a time while boarding a hack(tonga) his feet got tangled in broken ground.while tonga which had half of his body ran. This made this Brrahmchari in very Bad shape. He did survive.

This guy was a Brahmchari,Guru said that if god has to be got by Brahmchari then hijra(third Gender) may get God automaTICALLY. But this guy(Dayanand) did not get God.

Onnce he went to Rajasthan. He enjoyed very cosy realtionship with king that his harlot became envious to Dayanand as if he was her Sautan. She offered herself to him.He was unable to do anything with her.She told that she may expose his secret of Brahmcharya to world. So Dayanand asked his servent to bring poison and commited sucide.

History of his follwer-

Pandit Lekhram Arya killed by Muslim for his misdeeds Lahore 6-3-1897(Arya Samaj could not avenge it )

Swami Shradhnand killed by Adbul Rashid 23-10-1926 Delhi

'Veer' Rajpal killed by Ilmuddeen,Lahore 6-4-1929

Vir Narayan Dev Arya and his company was brutally killed and ladies taken away by mob in Karachi when Pakistan was been made.

Das ponders that inspite of So Much martyerdom why did not Arya Samaj became so strong. As they only spoke and did nothing and as theere cult is impractile.

Then this could be seen by the fact that Bhagat Singh another Arya Samaji also commited a virtual sucied by surrendering unlike true Hindu Chandra Shekhar Azad who died fighting.Had Bhagat Singh did not been couoght he would have orgainsed his party which was destryoed after his caputre and hanging there after.

Oh what about Lala Lajpat Rai,Just by fear of two sticks caused his heart failure and he died while Akalis and all did not die even after so much of beating.

Best example of present day Arya Samajis could be taken by a person serving in Indian Army from Rohtak.During Kargill War, he deserted his post and commited suicide after coming home due to shame.Uh!

    • was researching this and came back to this thread. Also found an older thread:
    • Net pay after taxes. If you don't agree, think about this: If you were a trader and started off in China with silk that cost 100 rupees and came to India, and you had to pay total 800 rupees taxes at every small kingdom along the way, and then sold your goods for 1000 rupees, you'd have 100 rupees left, right? If your daswandh is on the gross, that's 100 rupees, meaning you have nothing left. Obviously, you owe only 10% of 100, not 10% of 1000. No, it's 10% before bills and other expenses. These expenses are not your expenses to earn money. They are consumption. If you are a business owner, you take out all expenses, including rent, shop electricity, cost of goods sold, advertising, and government taxes. Whatever is left is your profit and you owe 10% of that.  If you are an employee, you are also entitled to deduct the cost of earning money. That would be government taxes. Everything else is consumption.
    • No, bro, it's simply not true that no one talks about Simran. Where did you hear that? Swingdon? The entire Sikh world talks about doing Simran, whether it's Maskeen ji, Giani Pinderpal Singh, Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi, or Sants. So what are you talking about? Agreed. Agreed. Well, if every bani were exactly the same, then why would Guru ji even write anything after writing Japji Sahib? We should all enjoy all the banis. No, Gurbani tells you to do Simran, but it's not just "the manual". Gurbani itself also has cleansing powers. I'm not saying not to do Simran. Do it. But Gurbani is not merely "the manual". Reading and singing Gurbani is spiritually helpful: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥  ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪੜਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The Lord's Bani and the words are the best utterances. Ever sing hear and recite them, O brother and the Perfect Guru shall save thee. Pause. p611 Here Guru ji shows the importance of both Bani and Naam: ਆਇਓ ਸੁਨਨ ਪੜਨ ਕਉ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਗਹਿ ਅਨ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The mortal has come to hear and utter Bani. Forgetting the Name thou attached thyself to other desires. Vain is thy life, O mortal. Pause. p1219 Are there any house manuals that say to read and sing the house manual?
    • All of these are suppositions, bro. Linguists know that, generally, all the social classes of a physical area speak the same language, though some classes may use more advanced vocabulary. I'm talking about the syntax. That is, unless the King is an invader, which Porus was not. When you say Punjabi wasn't very evolved, what do you mean? The syntax must have been roughly the same. As for vocabulary, do you really think Punjabis at the time did nothing more than grunt to express their thoughts? That they had no shades of meaning? Such as hot/cold, red/yellow/blue, angry/sweet/loving/sad, etc? Why must we always have an inferiority complex?
    • I still think about that incident now and then, just haven't heard any developments regarding what happened, just like so many other things that have happened in Panjab!
