· Learn about social, political, and personal Asian American concerns,

through over 50 workshops, with specific leadership topics to empower

your knowledge into action

Issues: "Sikh Americans After September 11th" - Ms. Valarie Kaur

Identity: "Understanding the 'Asian' in Asian American" - Ms. Sonal Shah

I am excited to tell you about AWAKENING, the 26th Annual

East Coast Asian American Student Union Conference, which

will be hosted by the University of Virginia from February

27th-29th. The largest conference of its kind, this year we

expect 125+ anticipated schools and 900+ anticpated

attendees. As our theme "Awakening" suggests, we strive to

inspire participants to challenge themselves and learn

about various national and personal issues concerning Asian

Americans.

REGISTER FOR ECAASU!! Also, please forward this e-mail to

anyone who you think would be interested by the dynamic

keynote speakers, diverse workshops, and soon-to-be-famous
