Friends,

I had recommended waiver of farm loans in my campaigns and GOI has now waived all loans to small and medium farmers by June2008 and farmers will be eligible for fresh loans immediately.

Donkey Campaigned Worked.

The amount involved though is only Rs.60,000 for 3-4 crore farmers.

This means virtual BONUS of Rs.60,000 crores to Indian farmers.

Farmers also need superior seeds.

Corn or Maize yield in USA is 9T per acre compared to Rs. 1.5T.

Government must let in latest seeds and farm production techniques.

With another short budget due before 2009 elections, Manmohan Singh let UPA government in spite poor show in many sectors is likely to return with enhanced majority.
