Brahmin Defined

I am not sure what this post is going to serve. Those who have been fed with hatred for Hindus even before they grew teeth won't give 2 cents even after reading this. However, those who were born normal and are sane may benefit and not fall down the drain of hate like the others. I found these definitions of how and what Gurujee perceived a true Brahmin to be, and was surprised how could someone claiming to be a "Sikh" have so much hate. There were definitions of how a Muslim should be, how a Vaishvav, a Kshatriya etc. should be as well. I got to say, as far as hating on the basis of beliefs is concerned, Gurujee has left us handicapped. A true Sikh can never ever hate anyone, be the person of any religion or any set of beliefs. Thus we are truly handicapped when it comes to hating, because a genuine Sikh cannot hate anyone at all. As hypocritical as it may sound, I myself don't fall under the category of such blessed Sikhs. Just today I have made 2 posts trying to rebutt the garbage some Muslims are spreading about Sikhi. In course of trying to break their logics, I tried my best not to sound hateful, because Bhagat Fareed Jee, Bhai Maradana, Pir Budhu Shah and scores of other mureeds of Gurujee always remind me that not all Muslims are evil like Aurangzeb, Jahangir, Abdali etc. I don't know howcome people like Bhai Bala, Pandit Shiv Dutt, Pandit Kirpa Ram are forgotten by a handful of intellectually defective individuals who cannot remember names beyond the list that has Gangu and Chandu.

ba(n)dhhan thorrai hovai mukath ||

Breaking his bonds, he is liberated.

soee brehaman poojan jugath ||16||

Such a Brahmin is worthy of being worshipped. ||16||

your post would be much better if you just left the gurbani and deleted your paragraph of writing at the start.

I just stated the facts which are true :) . However, to make everyone's life easy, I will take off the lines you've highlighted. Happy? ;)

I do not think any Sikh speaks against the definition of Brahmin in Gurbani but against the Brahmin of varna system. Shabad you have posted are not just for brahmins of varna system but for everyone. All definitions (muslim, pandit etc) convey the same message i.e. meditate upon Naam, do good deeds, purify your heat, stay in sangat, rise above false rituals etc.
