Vaheguru jee ka khalsa Vaheguru jee kee fateh.

*Admins sticky please*

This will make it easier for people to find mp3 files.

Here's a short guide to find shabads on the net.

Most kirtan websites have a search function where u can search for “folders”, “files” and “folders + files".

Like this one:

http://www.sikhee.com/audio/sikhee.php?q=f&f=%2FKirtan

For example, if you want to search for a shabad like http://sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=271

mai bin gur dhaekhae needh n aavai, u can either search for mai bin gur dhaekhae needh n aavai OR maeraa piaaraa preetham sathigur rakhavaalaa. Or write main/mein bin gur dekhe OR mera pyara preetam and click search.

Shabads have a "chorus" and you should search for the chorus when you are searching.

To get 1 shabad you may have to type in different panktees of the shabad, but normally you only have to type one panktee.

If the above doesn't work you can always use google.com

Search for the shabad and write - mp3 (example: mein bin gur dekhe - mp3)

Vaheguru jee ka khalsa Vaheguru jee kee fateh.

SikhVibes.com Kirtan Page Searching

Vaheguruu ji ka khalsa, Vaheguruu ji ki fatehh

We would like to bring your attention to a feature of our 'kirtan page' at http://www.sikhvibes.com/kirtan that you may or may not know..

The way this page is coded is great in terms of searching for a particular 'kirtanee' which you can at the top right hand of the page. Either by folder or file.

ex. Bhai Harpreet Singh

http://www.sikhvibes.com/kirtan/index.php?...+Harpreet+Singh

Another aspect we have tried to add to our files is including a kirtanees first shabad in the file name. (The shabad is exact copy/paste from the sikhitothemax website)

ex. If one was to look for shabads on NAAM (spelt this way from sikhitothemax), and search it in, we would get all the following hits:

http://www.sikhvibes.com/kirtan/index.php?...m=fi&s=naam

You can also search by FULL shabad line:

ex. bhaj man maerae eaeko naam (again from sikhitothemax)

http://www.sikhvibes.com/kirtan/index.php?...amp;x=8&y=8

Please take this to your advantage. Many sangatees have posted on forums requesting links to specific 'shabad/keertani' tracks, we hope this may help everyone in finding what they are looking for.
