Its a Zen saying. They are used to focus ure mind on meditation by emptying your thoughts.... If anyone watches the Simpsons Lisa tries to do it to Barts in one of the episodes. I cannot even remember the proverb she used...something like if the trees fall in a wood is there sound if no one is there to listen to it...so its actually meant to make u think wat is sound etc...Bart didn't get this so Lisa had to keep changing proverbs till Bart was eventually zenned.....

This is the same. Althougth to be honest I read it and thought of me knocking on the sky and making thunder. Jokes ure not supposed to think that....Zen proverbs are actually supposed to make u think outside of normal to reach the other often neglected psyche in ure mind. Its really cool when that happens but it has to be experienced as words can never describe.
