Sikh Sites Are Not Ready For Ipod Or Mp3 Players .............

Our Sikhs sites are not ready for Ipods. Now days we all use Ipods and Mp3 Players. On Ipod you can put almost everything you have 160GB. We can connect Ipods to the cars and Tvs. MP3 cds or regulars cds stop working once it get scratches. Ipods are future To play these files properly Ipods rely on Artist, Album, Genre, Track Number etc.

Going through our sikhs sites....... Most of our sites have NO Artist, NO Album, NO Genre, NO Track Numbers.

They put their site name under Artist name or Album Name. All the Track Numbers are screw up too. I spend so much time to organize my files by adding missing information so my Ipod start playing these files.

Non Religious files have proper information on these areas. We need to start adding these missing informations.

This is what all our Sikh Sits should do....

1, Divide these files into proper Genre. Everybody should use these categories Kirtan, Katha, Gurbani, Dhadi, Kavishri, Speeches. Make this standard.

2. Under Album use Album name. If its Live recording add Date (2008-05-31)

3. Artist name should use same name for every site. Choose one Sant Anoop Singh Ji or Bhai Anoop Singh Ji

4. Track Numbers should be used so it plays in order. NOT 5 plays then 1 plays then 3 plays. No No

5. Last one, Comments section where you add your site name or anything you want.

I am not being lazy. I already edited mine.

I am just thinking about sangat Not everyone have good computer skills. It does take alot to rename each tracks numbers , albums, Artist etc.
