i know it is important to keep kesh for identity reasons. but i was wondering if any one can explain the reason for keeping all kesh as if u kept ur kesh on ur head only and wore ur keskhi this would still give u the identity so what is the significance of keeing all kesh ?

i know guru ji asked but everything guru ji asked was done for a reason and if we are meant to keep everything then that means that we must not cut our nails too right but everybody still does that. i know that we must keep all hair i just want to know the reason of why to keep all hair because if it was soley for identity then we wud only need to keep hair on the head n face

Its nothing to do with keeping your body the way waheguru gave it, therefore its fine to cut your nails.

it is totally for identity. The hair on our face and head can be easily seen and i guess your trying to hint at why we can't cut our pubic and armpit hair as know one looks at it???

The answer: i dnt know, but my question to you is, whats the point of cutting armpit and pubic hair???

Some people say it is to keep them fresh. There are people out there who can't tolerate any hair on their body because it makes them feel dirty. Mostly women cut/shave the two things you mentioned though. It doesn't matter to me honestly.

the shabad posted earlier can not be used in this contex because people who cut their hair still have them on their bodies hereby implying that they can also meditate har har with each and every hair on their body.-..
