The whole Indian drama was stage managed by British. India was exlpoited by them sixty years ago and still is. When the British left, Indians thought that they have freedom. WRONG. The whole British system was carried forward, with minoe tweaks. B.R Ambedakar, writer of constituion expressed fears about the future of indian administrative framework. He was a Dalit and worked hard to protect their rights through constitution. Nehru wanted vote bank of dalits and as such was not averse to safeguards to them. Ambedkar knew he had lost the game soon after and died of heart-break.

The basic Police and Administrative laws are same as British days. There is ample scope for the authorities to exploit the population and enslave them. The british enacted these laws for protecting their interest, so they made laws which were beneficial to State and not Population. Congress leaders did not change them and carried them on. Even today great resistence is being met from state govt. to enforce amended Police Laws. The reason being Politicians want the police force under their control.

Majority of Indian decisions are influenced by Corporate sector and not Population welfare. India is a big market for west. It is still being exploited by west only they are not sitting on our heads. The british never left India, their interests remain. American interests have replaced that of British.

There was a news item that China might invade Taiwan and U.S will not be able to do anything. After that, China will train the 1000 nuclear warheads (currently aimed at Taiwan) towards India. In addition 20 Army Battalion divisions, currently positioned alongside Taiwan border, will be moved towards Indian side. Then what will happen is anybody's guess.

The economic capital of india, Mumbai, is in pitible state during rains. Hundereds die due to rain floods. If the economic capital is in such a state , one can imagine the state of normal cities. Constructing malls or flyovers in not the real index of development. The common man is out of all this development. Farmers are dying everyday, beggars are increasing by each hour and so are babies. Food security is a big problem. The administrative set-up has sunk the country. There is no patriotism in India. Law and order have failed and so has judiciary. Most of the Media is on the payroll of Corporate sector. You can buy any news house for a sum.

Inspite of all this development talk, blind superstitions and hollow religious zeal is on the rise. At the naina devi stampede, even half-dead people were loaded onto trucks as dead. Life has no value in India. Due to growing Hindu in-tolerence, Muslims have been pushed into a corner. In states like Gujrat, segregation is clearly visible. Muslims are treated as British treated Indians. The day they decide to unite and declare jehad al-queda style there will be disaster.

The dalits got benefits of constitutional framewok, and continue to do so due to vote-Bank compulsions. The reservation was supposed to end in 1990,s but vote-bank is making it go on. The genuine and needy dalit is no longer gettng it's benefit, only the rich and affluent.

Yesterday, Supreme Court observed that India is doomed and not even God can help it. This statement by Supreme Court makes you sit up and wonder about furture of India.

Indians have completely lost the trust of Khalsa

I agree, and most Indians are probably do not like this outcome.

the hindu is always used to 'being protected' and has always preferred outsourcing their protection concerns to certain groups.

they have never taken responsibility for their own protection. This is a big flaw in character.

another problem is that in 84' and 90s the internet and other sources of information were not well developed. I know that I used to collect current affairs through reading weekly magazines like 'India Today' and 'Illustrated Weekly', 'Readers Digest' etc. And then I used to subscribe to a single video cassette based news weekly called "Newstrack". But "Newstrack" was supposed to be really elite at that time. Since it involved purchase of a video-cassette every fortnight.

to put long story short. Not many sources of information were available and those that were used to be in control of the Govt.

When Indian citizens entrusted the job of security to the police, they did so in utmost good faith. They also belived they are capable of doing an honest job. And then we sit back do our stuff trusting that those who have been entrusted with the job will do it in good faith.

while we Indians sit back after entrusting the job of security to the police, we do not have effective means to ensure that those people who have been entrusted the job do not resort to shortcuts. there is little effective oversight on them to ensure that they do the job honestly and do not resort to short cuts like custodial deaths, torture, raping women and other abominations.

That is why the Indian constitution has a code of conduct that it obliges public servants to follow. The govt may be biased against some community or religion. But the code of conduct is not biased and that is why these gentlemen are supposed to follow it and that they are following it needs to be ensured by citizenry if not by the politicians, courts or other bodies who may have vested interests. But the police officers might gain from 'short-cuts' because it gets their job done quicker. Who else benefits .. surely not the Indian state who is left with the brutalised conscience of those individuals who have been left over after the pogrom.

We have now realized that Indian constitution has been subverted and conscience of an entire society has been destroyed.

This cost cannot be computed.

Man, an average Indian has been sold out by the political parties of India. Indians instead of following people like Gandhi, Advani shud have followed Baba Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale. If u had made Baba Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale to be the ruler of India, there would have been no hindu-muslim riots, bomb blasts, bollywood kanjarrpana. Even pakistan and china would have feared such a Lion. But alas, u call him a terrorist, hahahahahaha.

The nuclear deal will not benefit poor. The electricity that will be produced from nuclear energy will be too expensive. Maybe they could invent something to make it cheaper. But as of now, only Big business houses are going to benefit out of this. There will be transactions worth billions of dollars and America badly needs money for it's dooming economy and Business houses both in India and U.S will flourish.

As for China, it's economy is not what they show it to be. There are hidden aspects not revealed and it can burst at any time.

Right because instead of having someone with Manmohan's intellectual resume you would rather have a tough talking leader with questionable education background. (You might want to ask the US how that's working out for them).

that tough talking leader gave his life for what he believed. there are talkers who merely talk and people who practice what they preach.

did bhai taru singh have an MBA? did the schota sahibzaadas? did Guru HarKrishan Ji have a PHD? he was only 8 years old. would you follow an 8 year old?

being educated is important, but be careful how far you try to take it. there have been enough educated tyrants and idots in this world from the beginning of time who have proven that education can only take one so far.

peace.
