Everyone has their own rehat maryada because they want to be popular, have followers, have power, and make money and keep their businesses running. It was sickening to find out that the Amrit is not even givent he same way. There are deras where caste system runs high. Chooras and chamars are given Amrit in a separate bowl. There are different banis read by different jathas/taksals. These jathas and taksals make young Sikhs follow their mayadas, instead of the panth parvanat one. Why? Is this what Guru Ji wanted? How must Guru Ji be feeling? Does it not hurt Guru Ji's feelings? Just think about it before listening to someone and followign the rehat maryada given by them. If we have different Amrits, what is the young gengeration going to think? What respect they will have for Amrit. Amrit is very powerful.

This happened in my village. One time 5 piaray were going around the villages providing people with Amrit. When they came to my village, they found a room to give Amrit to people. It was an old room. As told by Guru Ji, Amrit has to be given behind closed doors or tents. No one is allowed to see. Two mooraksh from my village wanted to see how Amrit is given. They started peeking through a hole in the window. When the Amrit was given to the Sikhs in their hands to drink. One guy peeking from outside made fun. When he made fun, he fell right there and started bouncing like a ball on his back. People got scared and took him home. They called a tantrik from a village. He came and thought he would do something and collect a lot of money but when he saw the bouncing, even he got scared and ran away. Then a Giani from a Gurudwara was caleld and he was told what had happened, Gia

ni told the family that hthe boy committed a big sin so only way out is to give 5 Piaras langar, clothing and ask them to do Ardass. So 5 Piaras were called and Ardass was done. The 5 Piaras told the family that he will recover by night. After the Ardass, the boy started getting better and by night he recovered and came back to consciousness. The deras, jathas and taksals changing the Amrit rehat maryada are committing a big sin. Their followers are committing the same sin by blindly following. What I am saying is that follow the Panth Parvanat rehat maryada from Akal Takht. This will bring the Panth back to Chardi Kala and Khalistan will not be far away. This will also remove the internal fighting and division.

gud point. but since Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jio Maharaj issued the rehat 2 other puran gursikhs y r there different types of rehat? rehat means code of conduct. like school u follow one code of conduct, u dont hav about a million or they wud all clash with school rules c. the same applies 2 us. we need 1 rehat maryada that has 2 b adopted by all, n that rehat maryada is the 1 Guru Ji gave us.

bhol chukke muaff.

Khalsa Fauj ji:

You are right jee! Sikhs need to be united if we want Khalistan in near/distant future! How can we do this if we are following different rehit maryadas established by different groups?

We need to follow the rehit maryada that was established by SRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI! Didn't he say which 5 bania we are supposed to read? I don't know all the history on this so plz someone tell us. What was the rehit maryada he established besides the 5 kakaars?

No real rehat maryada had made it to us so Shiromani Gurdwara parbandak Committe gathered all the scholars, sants, jathedars, nihungs, etc. and made them do research. A lot of research was done for 11 years and a maryada was set. Then even after as more research was done, some changes were made and we had the maryada set. That maryada is the panth parvanat rehat marydada from Sri Akal Takht Sahib. As wrong people have crept into SGPC, SGPC has become careless and everyday, new deras and maryadas are being made. Everyone agreed to the rehat maryada of Akal Takht before. Every jatha, taksal, dal, etc. but when SGPC got weak and attack on Harmandar Sahib occured. Everyone staretd making their own maryadas, etc.

The whole article will be posted on the website at:

    • Net pay after taxes. If you don't agree, think about this: If you were a trader and started off in China with silk that cost 100 rupees and came to India, and you had to pay total 800 rupees taxes at every small kingdom along the way, and then sold your goods for 1000 rupees, you'd have 100 rupees left, right? If your daswandh is on the gross, that's 100 rupees, meaning you have nothing left. Obviously, you owe only 10% of 100, not 10% of 1000. No, it's 10% before bills and other expenses. These expenses are not your expenses to earn money. They are consumption. If you are a business owner, you take out all expenses, including rent, shop electricity, cost of goods sold, advertising, and government taxes. Whatever is left is your profit and you owe 10% of that.  If you are an employee, you are also entitled to deduct the cost of earning money. That would be government taxes. Everything else is consumption.
    • No, bro, it's simply not true that no one talks about Simran. Where did you hear that? Swingdon? The entire Sikh world talks about doing Simran, whether it's Maskeen ji, Giani Pinderpal Singh, Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi, or Sants. So what are you talking about? Agreed. Agreed. Well, if every bani were exactly the same, then why would Guru ji even write anything after writing Japji Sahib? We should all enjoy all the banis. No, Gurbani tells you to do Simran, but it's not just "the manual". Gurbani itself also has cleansing powers. I'm not saying not to do Simran. Do it. But Gurbani is not merely "the manual". Reading and singing Gurbani is spiritually helpful: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥  ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪੜਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The Lord's Bani and the words are the best utterances. Ever sing hear and recite them, O brother and the Perfect Guru shall save thee. Pause. p611 Here Guru ji shows the importance of both Bani and Naam: ਆਇਓ ਸੁਨਨ ਪੜਨ ਕਉ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਗਹਿ ਅਨ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The mortal has come to hear and utter Bani. Forgetting the Name thou attached thyself to other desires. Vain is thy life, O mortal. Pause. p1219 Are there any house manuals that say to read and sing the house manual?
    • All of these are suppositions, bro. Linguists know that, generally, all the social classes of a physical area speak the same language, though some classes may use more advanced vocabulary. I'm talking about the syntax. That is, unless the King is an invader, which Porus was not. When you say Punjabi wasn't very evolved, what do you mean? The syntax must have been roughly the same. As for vocabulary, do you really think Punjabis at the time did nothing more than grunt to express their thoughts? That they had no shades of meaning? Such as hot/cold, red/yellow/blue, angry/sweet/loving/sad, etc? Why must we always have an inferiority complex?
    • I still think about that incident now and then, just haven't heard any developments regarding what happened, just like so many other things that have happened in Panjab!
    • There was a young Singh from abroad who went to Anandpur Sahib Hola and got into a fight with some Punjabis who were playing loud non-religious music. He had bana and a weapon or two. There were more of them than him.  He ended up losing his life. Don't be like that. Not worth it to fight manmukhs. @californiasardar1 ਮੂਰਖੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਲੁਝੀਐ ॥੧੯॥ Argue not with a fool. p473
