Stillwater, Oklahoma.

I think I have sat down to pen down a few words of my mind after a very

very long time. Its been ages ever since I drew my mind on paper. I dont

know when will be the next time I do so. Perhaps today I needed to

finally express myself. So far I was busy gathering experiences of this

world, both good and bad. I have finally come to one conclusion, that if

anyone can accept man/woman as he/she is, good or bad, its only GOD,

the ONE who created man and woman. People will always pin point at ones

nature, and insist on one to change those features of personality which

they judge incorrect. This is not the case with the Almighty Lord. I am

seriously tired of watching people falling prey to pride, ego, jealousy,

hatred etc. The more sophisticated words describing these evils in

modern society are referred to as attitude problem, prestige issue,

backbiting or bitching. Time and again people are heard using phrases

like take it easy, cool it, chill, but they never seem to understand

what these terms and phrases actually mean. Attitude problem refers to

the nature of a person who is seen to be silent with a strong frown on

his/her face, or who walks with his/her nose touching the clouds.

Prestige issue revolves around an individual who is actually very

insecure about his/her reputation, and the slightest comment passed can

hurt his/her ego. Such a person can never tolerate the scene of someone

else getting more importance than himself/herself. See how wonderfully

society has renamed pride as attitude problem, and jealousy as prestige

issue!! Unfortunately

, people these days have too many issues. More than

the highest numbers any mathematics taught us. One fails to understand

as to why the human being has purposely made his/her life so much

complicated, when it can be lived in a lot better way. It is only now,

that I have started to understand what ills of society were fought by

Guru Nanak and His successors. The world was then on fire, and it still

is. Those who are getting the Gurus message are keeping themselves away

from all the above mentioned ills of the world. Backbiting is even worse

than attitude problem or prestige issue. It starts out as a general

discussion, and ends in one making a list of faults found in another

person. The Gurus were strongly against slander. There is so much

rubbish lying on this earth, I had no idea at all! No one is happy at

all. And the worst part is that one who tries to remain happy, the world

doesnt let him/her. It is a truly sad situation, and a grave danger to

a persons peace of mind. May the Almighty Lord free everyone of all

social and human ills, so that this world becomes a better place to live

in, and our short but hardly gifted human life flows smoothly free from

all complications.
