Small Car Seeks Big Blessings

Before its official launch , Tata's much awaited 'Lakhtakia' car Nano made its first trip - from the Pantnagar plant in Uttrakhand to Harmandir Sahib in Amritar , where an 'ardas' was performed on Friday.

Passing through Patiala, Ludhiana and Jalandhar , the two Nanos - white and silver - reached the Holy City late on Thursday evening. On Friday morning , the cars were driven to Harmandir Sahib , as per standing orders of the Company Chairman Ratan Tata.

" It was a spiritual and a technical journey for Nano," said Rishi Dada , Managing Director of Dada Motors, authorized Dealer in Jalhandar and Ludhiana. Rishi who drove the Nano from Ludhiana to Amritsar, said Rattan Tata had desired the first car of the lot scheduled to hit the Punjab roads be taken to Harmandir Sahib to seek blessings for his 'dream machine'.

He said 11 years ago, Indica's launch in Punjab, too had begun with the same ritual and the car turned out to be a big hit in both urban and rural Punjab.
