hey guys. can somebody tell daas the meaning of the word "nihang". like the actual definition of the word itself.

A word from the Persian vocabulary, it means crocodile. The Akalis, were first named Nihang by Moghul historians (who mostly used Persian, in court, literature, etc), as they fought bravely.

Nihang = Magarmach = Crocodile

Its the SikhiWiki definition, but its true, as, I myself have read it somewhere in a book, and a Giani Ji in Punjab also told me the same.
