Could people please there tips on doing gurbanee santhiya and just general rules on when reading paath from pothees/gutka and guroo jees saroops etc. when i say rules i am meaning pauses and when to like say words with emotion like cause guroo jess giving use hukams if you get what i mean.

Where do you live? You won't gain the knowledge from an internet forum. Take Santhiaa from a Vidiaarthee of Damdami Taksaal.

doesnt have to be a vidyarthee of DamdamiTaksal, anybody from any samparda who has learnt the art of shud Gurbani Ucharan can teach santhiya, though i suggest you avoid machinery (missionary college ludhiana) teachers

Gurbani Paath Darpan by Sant Kartar Singh ji has all the pauses etc written in it. Don't know where you can find it in the west, but you could order it online from the Jawahar Singh website (google).

o/w best thing is to take santhya from a proper ustaad, and to listen to gyani thakur singh ji's suddh santhya avail on google video (or the bhindren santhya) each day to make your learning more pukkka.

Gurbani Paat Darpan By Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee is a very helpful aid redarding bisraams and shudh ucharan and differences in padd chedd, mukh paat and differences in saroops. Its a must have for every sikh and especially gurdvara sahib and also contains Gurmat Rehat MAryada.
