When Is It Justified To Kill Or Harm Animals?

I just like to push this question onto the forum and ask when is it justified to kill or harm animals within Sikhi? What are acceptable reasons and what are unacceptable? Is it acceptable to support the harming or killing of animals for any reason?

I'm interested in the members views on the acceptability of harming or killing animals for reasons other than meat

For example I'm assuming killing animals if they are dangerous or are pests is acceptable in Sikhi?

Ok so you want to know if you are allowed to kill animals.......achaa.

Picture this........You and your Singhni. Having a nice picnic in the dry parts of Africa. You see a hyaena.....(don't be surprised)..and the hyaena tries to bite your Singhni's leg off. What would you do.....Think of the same questions you are asking now?? so you would think 'OH, is it wrong to kill animals, who care about my Singhni'........

You very well know that there is more than enough information on this forum, yet you still want to know more. contact your local gyani.....Maybe someone could help here too.

So if a pest (a very poisonous one) came and bite you in the arm....would you ask this same question to yourself?....

Why ask something if you know the answer? unless you want to test the knowwledge of the gursikhs on here......

Would you like to know what I would do?....

Ok good to see contributions here!

So it's OK to kill dangerous animals....excellent!...the tigers of this world will be happy to hear that.

Any other reasons?

You think tigers are dangerous animals. You are scared of them. You call your self a Gursikh, then act like one......

Yeah, I think tiger's are dangerous!

You don't?

Love to see you one on one with a fully grown tiger, Arm Chair Warrior!

So we've established killing dangerous animals is acceptable in Sikhi.

And that harming/killing animals that are considered pests is also acceptable.

I'm assuming the use of chemicals is acceptable method of killing pests?

If the tiger poses a threat to your life. Guru Hargobind slayed a tiger when it was about to attack

I see.

Yeah, I think tiger's are dangerous!

Contradicting isn't it...

Maybe me and you need to go and pay the tigers a visit.

Why pay them a visit?

Well if you think the pest might harm you or your family, then choose what you think is right......It's killing them, or letting them crawl in your sofa, desk, kitchen, etc....

Why?

I thought you wanted me to see me with a fully grown tiger?.....oh well....maybe another time bhaji.
