Yes all the events did occur and were put in a book shape by Bhai Amardeep Singh Amar who was a witness to these events.

Moreover I also remember all the events in the movie though the names of the character may not be the same.

I still remember a press note which was in the "Ajit" newspaper written by 5 Jathebandis : KLF,KCF,Babbar Khalsa and All India Sikh Students Federation(Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu) in which they had condemned the firing and killing of about 120 migrant biharis who were killed in 2 trains near Ludhiana.The press note said that this was the handiwork of Police cats to torpedo the Sikh struggle.

Although this event is not there in the movie but many such events took place which were committed by punjab police cats to malign the kharkoos.

Veeray,Im not sure as to which exactly which Singh is being referred to in the movie.

But it is true that a number of sons and daughters of not only Punjab govt officials but also Central govt Sikh officials participated in the Sikh struggle of 1980's/90's.

Apart from that a number of Police officers(except IGs,DIGs who were and still are the boot lickers of Delhi)participated in the struggle.

Just 2 names out of the countless such police men should be enough to tell of their great importance in the Sikh struggle :

1) Shaheed General Bhai Labh Singh urf Sukhdev Singh Sukha Sipahi(Chief of KCF)

2) Shaheed Bhai Dilawar Singh Babbar who killed Beantaa paapi which in turn led to the stopping of fake encounters of Sikhs in Punjab
