Siree Raag

Dear all - WJKK WJKF. While doing paat last night, I noticed that on page 44 of Maharaj, Siree raag is writtan in two differant ways -

before the line :-

sabhae thhok paraapathae jae aavai eik hathh ||

it's writtan one way, and before the line :-

soee dhhiaaeeai jeearrae sir saahaa(n) paathisaahu ||

It's writtan another way. Both banis are writtan by Gur Arjan Dev Ji. Does it still signify the same raag ??

Bhai sahib jee you mean to say

before the first line it is written as "siree raag"

where as in the second it is written as "sree raag"

i don't even do enough paat so please forgive me.

i honestly don't know why it is done this way

i think both refer to the same raag

the only explanation other gursikhs have given me so far is that it is because guru sahib wanted to avoid anybody from using their OWN worldly intellect and eliminating any parts of the poetry

guru sahib wanted to write the raag there but he didn't want anybody to think guru sahib has accidentally written the raag twice in a row so guru sahib spelled it differently

could this be a reason? only guru sahib knows

bhai saihb ji, me myself don do much paat but HE^ is great its impossible to understand him, an da writing of it in different way, he knows y he did it but bhai sahib je if u read further on evn da moolmantar is writin in many different forms not jus da moolmantar but other banis and names of raags aswell. he is da only 1 hu knows da meaning of all dis, him and his pyario hu have become a part of him!
