vaheguru ji ka khalsa

vaheguru ji ki fateh

the version of the events of the Shaheedi of Bhai Mohar Singh ji and family is different to the one i heard.

it goes like this.

Bhai sahib ji was so impressed with Sant Kartar Singh ji katha and he decided to become a singh of Deshmesh Pitaji. Coming from a pandit background they took the step to becoming a Gursikh with his Singhni i can’t remember Bhenjis name i think it is Bibi Pritam Kaur. Bhai Sahib Ji joined the jatha and stayed with the singhs in Sri Darbar Sahib and was a bodyguard of Sant Giani Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa. During the attack in June 84 Bhai Sahib ji and his family took charge of a morcha (defence position) near where Dhan Baba Deep Singh ji put his head down in Sri Darbar Sahib. If people have heard of the story that one of the tanks got stuck near where Baba Deep Singh ji give put his head during the attack. It was the family of Shaheed Bhai Mohar Singh ji that stopped this tank in its tracks. During the attack Shaheed Bibi Satnam Kaur and Shaheed Bibi Vaheguru Kaur helped their parents repel the army by filling the magazines with bullets and helping other Gursikhs in their morchas. One seeing the tanks comes into Sri Darbar Sahib Shaheed Bhai Mohar Singh ji and family decided the only way to stop the tanks attacking Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib and killing Santji was to wrap grenades around them and jumps onto the tank. They blow up the tank which stopped in it tracks and the army couldn’t move it or get any more tanks in that way, plus it was so inspiring for the other Gursikhs to see such a daring act of courage.

These little princesses became shaheeds defending Sri Darbar Sahib at the

mere ages of 6 and 8 years old. Shaheed Bhai Mohar Singh and Singhni too became shaheed. These true Gursikhs brought back the sacrifices of the Sahibzida back to life, what a truly inspiring family. Not that their shaheed was the only blood split by this family their cousins Shaheed Bhai Baksheesh Singh Kaljug, Shaheed Bhai Parmjit Singh and their 3rd brother in cant remember his name took amrit became Khalsa, joined the Freedom fighters and died fighting for Khalistan. Shaheed Bhai Baksheesh Singh Kaljug was such a fierce fighter they named him Kaljug because he brought death to the enemy. Shaheed Bhai Baksheesh Singh ji rose to the rank of Lt General Khalistan Commando Force.

I will dig up their life story plus scan in the letter they wrote to singhs here.

It’s an amazing story of untold sacrifice dedication which until today continues with their father and mother still holding Sri Akhand Parths for the shaheeds, and is close to Shaheed Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda’s family.

to those who think the panjab problem was a hindu sikh thing need to look at the contribution off famlies like this. there are soo many stories of hindus helping the singhs and hindus seeing the abusues and oppression been carried out on the sikhs that they converted to Sikhi and fought in the battle field.

Shaheed Roshan Lal Baragi one of the 1st

Shaheed Rakash kumar Jalaandar

Shaheed Muhammad cnt remember his full name but he was a police officer who joined the singhs and became Shaheed with his wife.

others ive forgot these are top of my head ive got a list some where.

Dhan those Gursikhs who gave their Dhan Mann Than for Guruji and US

Remember these Gursikhs and do Ardas that we too may live up to their standards

AKAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
    • Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi Kalan uses simple Punjabi.
    • Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it.
