Beyond Sikhs, the brutality and instability of that time mean that even nonSIkhs accepted an outside ruler who would bring them security and prosperity,

Khalsa rule was formed by victory over tyrant occupants. Non sikhs had no choice but to submit and then cooperate.

Sikhism is a religion of miri and piri.Politics are under religion. Sikhs have produced excellent generals and adminitrators who

were leading life of a Gurmukh. To name a few Banda Bahadar, Jassa Singh ahluwalia, Nawab Kapoor singh, Baghel singh,

Akali Phoola singh,Hari singh nalwa.

To accommodate non sikhs in sikh administration was a display of broadmindedness of Ranjit Singh.Their inclusion does not mean

that sikhs were not capable to fill their places. Main thing to keep in mind is that they marched under sikh Flag i.e. Nishan sahib.

I am sure furture set up of any sikh state should reflect same principals i.e. equality and acommodation in administration to every citizen irrespective

of religious affiliation. To suppress any community is against sikh priciples.Guru Gobind singh has written

Manas ki jaat sabhe

Eko pehchanbo

Recognise all humanity as one

Dasam Granth sahib
